Industrial accidents are at times wake up calls for employers. They realize the importance of workplace safety only after an accident. As the head of an institution, it is the responsibility of the employer to oversee the safety of the workplace. The law demands him to provide safety facilities in workplace and to train employees in managing workplace safety. This is followed stringently by many countries as international organizations like World Health Organization and International Labor Organization have advised countries to ensure that workers are provided safety facilities while in the workplace. US Department of Labor came up with a standard called OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). This agency formulates health and safety regulations for different industries.

OSHA provides health and safety training for employees working in different industries. Though based in US, OSHA provides courses worldwide through accredited course providers. Together, their mission is to offer quality safety training for men and women working in different parts of the world. OSHA never compromises with their training standards therefore; certified trainers handle training sessions conducted on behalf of accredited osha course providers.

OSHA accredited institutions are committed to professionally-train employees in managing workplace safety. It is important to provide health and safety courses to employees since most workplace accidents occur due to the employees’ lack of training in using highly technical equipments. OSHA courses are the best safety training courses that will educate them in all aspects of workplace safety.

Even if its not workplace related and you have the option to take an OSHA course, go for it!

Yes it teaches workplace safety, but also general common sense that you should have even when doing home projects etc. and already having OSHA certification helps greatly in the job market.

An eye for an eye leaves the world blind. Where the one-eyed man reigns king.

But, I've never been one for regal matters.
