Yo Fellow Hopers, i'm Tom, Im a well know spinner of poi but I have got an itch to pick up a contact staff, so here it is my supreme rebeirth as tom, who will be here to feel up a contact staff when I get it. If any of you have some cool contact staff videos please share them here so I can start looking at styles and moves that look important to the art (ect)...

I'd start here https://mcp.tepookatoys.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=section&id=1&Itemid=30
for contact video tutorials. You'll probably want to try to learn things like halos, conveyor belts & fishtails first. That should get you used to the motions and how the staff should feel when you spin it.
Other than that, have a dig through the video's forum. There's some amazing stuff in there.
