Here's where I say "harden up" at Rougie to pay her back for telling WWFF to harden up!

Only 3 rejections? Rougie, it's time for you to realise that you're going to have a lot more of them in your life so get used to it! I hope you're not just sitting back responding to advertised jobs? If so, go and actively try to convince places that you want to work at that they need to give you a job. Give them a free week of you if that's what it takes ...

PS I'm back! Oman was fun but had to stay longer than the original plan. I see ewe is still alive so that's a good thing!

Only 3 rejections? Um, I've actually lost track of how many I've had! It's just three interviews that I was then rejected from - there's been loads and loads of applications that I didn't even make interview from, and most of them didn't even have the decency to email me saying "thanks but no thanks"

At the moment, I'm not up to my ears in volunteer work which is keeping me busy and will hopefully lead me into some paid stuff. I'm producing my own radio show which is a zillion shades of awesome!

And I have a new assignment for Radio Australia - which is paid! YAY! And is also something that I went out and got that wasn't advertised.

So where are you off to next?

Maybe the Elders of the Internet are reminding me that sometimes I just spend too much time on HoP. Still.

Ha! Seaspray your pome is still not quite right and doesn' rhyme in the current version. I think it should be "While I was going up the stairs, " etc.

But that wasn't why I said "Ha!" - I just remembered that while I was away in Oman last month that I used to run up the stairs of the hotel to the gym after my run. It was 5 floors but laid out a bit weird and for some strange reason I thought of Seaspray and the man on the stairs who wasn't there, and then I thought of the "Half way up the stairs" poem from Mr AA Milne and each time after that I ceremoniously stopped on the 2.5th floor each time.

That is all.

Zombie Jesus and chocolate worship weekend was made happy because yesterday on Sky they showed that timeless classic "Ben Hur". And I came in half way through so only had to sit for 2hrs instead of 4 but still caught the chariot racing which is the reason-d-etre for the whole thing after all! (Well, that and the galley battle which I just missed). I even forced No #1 son to watch the chariot race bit so he could enjoy the various bods getting molested by chariots and horses. True fun for all the family!
