Hey guys and gals alike. I'm Markus, I have been into poi/glowstringing since last May. I also am an amateur DJ. I'm not too great, maybe because poi isn't really well known where I live. I first discovered poi on your website and loved it since then. Any questions, feel free to ask!

Welcome to your new cult! grin

Yeah, I figured out about poi on an exchange trip and have never even thought something like this even existed.

I've been doing this since late fall and I hope you get into fire soon grin It's so amazing!

And you should look back and fill out the questionnaire for us tongue2

Yeah, here poi and other things alike practically don't even exist. The closest I've seen to people knowing it is that my mom said when she was in school for the big games, the head baton twirlers would use a fire baton, and an uncle recognized it as "that thing they do in Hawaii." laugh3

So I can feel how you do with the it not being known, it has the ups of extra amazement, and the downs of no one to spin with.

And once again, for questions, you'll be asked to fill out the questionnaire tongue2

The only luck is bad luck.

Shut up before I stall my poi up your ass grin

Wouldn't agree with Oliver so much, but the rest are epic films. Especially Titan A.E. MATT DAMOOOOOON!

Good choice in books.

Welcome to HoP! Avoid the squirrels. I think that they might be rabid.

'We're all mad here. I'm mad, you're mad." [said the Cat.]
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "Or you wouldn't have come here."

Woot, another Texan and a DJ, welcome.

65.26 cans of Monster + You = Death
Think the other chemicals in it would probably kill me well before the 65 cans it took to die by caffeine.

Yeah I've gotta get some decent equipment first. I am using my school laptop right now for most of my stuff. I'm looking for a cheap mixer and a few turntables. If you find somewhere that sells cheap stuff, pleeeeeeeease let me know.

I'm using a Numark Stealth. Not perfect but it gets the job done. Can usually find them for $250 - $300.
They really don't work very well with Deckadance though, which I don't use anyway so I don't mind.
Numark Total Control is a little cheaper, but I've never used it so have no idea on the quality.

Bout to pick up a CDJ soon, want to get a couple Pioneer 800's if I can find any used somewhere.
