Deadpool, Wade Wilson. Mercenary and smartmouth extrodanaire
Has proficiency with firearms, un-armed combat and at least sword play. Also possesses mutant healing ability and awareness of the 4th wall.
I'd go with Deadpool too. Mainly for the fact he'd pull out a spiderman comic and read up on Venom's weaknesses...

Definitely Deadpool, one of the best characters ever. Ultimate Deadpool kinda fails though. Actually, the everything in the Ultimate line fails lol

I'd say Deadpool, Venom is lame. Though you are indeed a brave man, there are many forums where this kind of geek trivia opinion question would lead to countless pages of flame wars until the mods lock it down.

venom will win because he has bigger muscles. His guns clearly outperform that pea shooter in the other guys hand.
But it really doesnt matter cause Chuck Norris would whoop both their asses with a roundhouse kick to the face.

Besides the other reasons mentioned, Deadpool is also essentially the comic relief of an entire narrative universe. Think about what that means in a world where narrative value trumps mere physics. Ergo, Deadpool wins if they have to make a choice.
Until the Marvel universe becomes as saturated with him as it is with Wolverine. Then they could kill him off in good conscience.

Deadpool kicks major @$$. Ugly as hell under the mask but he can like lose limbs and have his neck snapped and be fine later. That and he's freaking hilarious in the comics. I also aggree with Sister Eleven.
Venom gets too close to a Breaking Benjamin concert amp and he's already either weakened of completely screwed. He's pretty badass I'll admit, but deadpools got him beat
