I'm sure I'm not alone in sometimes thinking about what I'd do if there really was an outbreak of zombies. I used to work in a cinema where talking about zombies and making plans was one of the most popular conversation topics.
So... Zombies are in the streets, society is collapsing all around you, the government no longer exists.
What do you do?
My brain is about as useful as a chocolate teapot, but unfortunately not as tasty.

Zombies everywhere...yes!!!
I had a dream once, and in that i got attacked by zombies and do you know what i did?? i asked them to bite me. they agreed and one of them bited me in my right arm and i transformed into one of them! that was great
-i thougt if i am one of them they're not dangerous for me anymore, intelligent he? 
and in the end of the dream they voted me to get their boss, because i transformed into a zombie voluntary 
It was one of the best dreams i ever had

To eliminate the zombie threat I would genetically engineer a virus that makes zombies eat other ZOMBIES. Then all the zombies would eat each other, if they survived, they would pass it on and eventually you would end up with a zombie eating zombie army that wanna eat each other too. No more zombies

I'm not getting into the whole debate about 'it's the last place you look because if you find it you stop looking thing'... I just wish people would get that it just means the last place after you've exhausted ALL plausible places.

Ohh, ohh! I had a dream about zombies once. I was running through an empty town, dodging through buildings and stuff. But the zombies just got closer and that feeling of your feet sticking to the floor decided to attack me. So I found a bar, drank all the alcohol that was there and hoped that the zombies liked marinated meat.
Wierdest dream I've ever had!

Nah, that sounds like a really cool dream.
The weirdest dream I ever had was about jelly babies. I couldn't eat them for about a year afterwards.

i had a dream last night that had babies like in "Spirited Away"............they were eating lots of food so they could carry something.......weird.

Oh Oh I know *Sticks hand up in the air while resembling Hermioni Granger* (I've not read Harry Potter in a fair while so I forgotted how to spell the girls name) The trick is:Collect Weapons. I infact have been collecting various swords and knives since the age of 13, I have a unhealthy obsession in believe that "28 Days Later" Will come true one day. So why not be prepared. Right, FIRST step of surviving a Zombie Attack is, GET YOURSELF A WEAPON. Anything blunt should work. Or a spade, think about it. A zombie has been dead for about 2 weeks, the body has already started decomposing. So surely even a simple knock will send a head or two flying?
Second thing to do is make your way to some kind of trasportation. Larger the better. Personaly i'd go for one of the classic White Vans commonly seen on the motorways of England. These as you all know are completely deadly in the hands of a crazed builder :P
Thirdly you must have a group. Usualy in a group of Anti-Zombie-Killers, they are as demented or even more demented as you, also having their own hoards of weapons. Stick them all in the back of your White Van and drive around finding yourself little groups of Zombies that you can take care of easily. SO, once you've vanquished all zombies in sight, you can now start apon creating your own city and become to king.....Hope you enjoyed my SAS Zombie Survival Course
The only reason i'm scared of little kid's is because I know in ten year's time they'll be mugging me.....

oh yay for bumps!
Hopfully it wont happen until after i get my new truck (I've had dreams where the zombie outbreak happened and my truck let me down), but i would (hopefully being at home) grab my melee gear, and everythign else i have and will need, head for the local gun club let them know whats going on. Work with those guy for a while to aquire some guns and such (hope they have hand grenades). Anyways, i would then call up my team (the one i hold close but mainly the people i know who will fare well during this apocolypse. We will ron-de-voo at a set place and will plan where to move from there. remember people destroy your stairs!!! Good luck to you all, when this is over, we shall spin again!!!!

Go to a gun shop, get a couple of hardwares, with lots and lots of ammo, go to a Pub, have a couple of beers, then think from there.

Get to the big city, gather supplies into adjoining apartment buildings, destroy first level staircases. Convert roofs into gardens, and have water collection systems on the side catwalks, to mention those being the only way on and off the island. Said zombies will be stuck, unable to get up, where we can easily be protected from above.
Also.
Airowgun + several thousand metal pellets, if not more. :]
And of course, with an axe and claymore in reserve.
If done properly, we can create a sorts of strategic locations in which we can travel from apartment building to building, and wipe out zombies from atop.
