Birthday (sign?): March 17, Pieces

Age: 17

Sex: Male

Occupation(s): Student

Favorite Color(s): Blue and Green

What is the wing speed of an unladen swallow?: An African or a European swallow?

Toys: Practice poi (socks, plastic bags, dirt, shoestrings, and sticks for handles)

Hobbies other than the obvious: Learning, spiritual (re)searching, (most often nontranquil) meditation.

Education: In 12th grade and still technically a freshman in college. (It's complicated :p)

Favorite Book(s): It's been so long I regret I can't remember any of the best ones... I should go digging through my shelf again.

Favorite Movie(s): Or maybe I'm still asleep... I can't think of any good movies either...

Godzilla vs. a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Who wins? Why? Destroyer. Obviously. Godzilla can't reach that high up to knock it down, so the destroyer would just blow the planet to dust.

Plans for life in general: From chemistry to lawschool to being a vet, teacher, or mechanic, I really have too many options. I want to find myself and become one of those people who everyone thinks of with a smile because they radiate so much joy and calm fun into others' lives. I want to live from doing what I enjoy, and I may have found my obsession in poi spinning.

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Tool will probably always be #1 there. Next up is so diverse I can't limit it to a single other. I like music that sounds good to me, which can be nearly anything. I'm mostly into chill funk, though, currently, like Flaming Lips, Iron and Whine, and Damian Marley.

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): *shrug* Butterfinger Blizzards are nice ^.^

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?* I've never had any of them so I can't really say.

I'm doing a teaching degree at the moment and its great fun to mesh with poi.

I can teach poi! shocked! I've even seen poi used in primary schools, no yolk!

I've seen Iron and Wine live, they were really, really good.

How much poi experience have you had?

Enjoy the resources here and remember there are lots of lovely people here to help answer any questions you might have! grin

I've only had a few days practice. I'm attempting the turns and basic butterfly. I thought I'd had the butterfly down, but after reviewing the video I see how I messed up. Time to practice. smile
