Sorry to put this here but I just need a place to vent / rant / verbally abuse my ex-employer.
I got fired on wednesday over somthing that I consider to be really small and annoying.
Long and short of it was that I got the blame for somebody elses mistake and got keel hauled for it, so to vent my annoyance I puched my desk. They called it Uncouth Behaviour.
While I would have fully understood their action if I was a office worker, the fact of the matter is that I'm a storesman, holding the worst paid job in my ex-place of business, and from my previous experiance storesmen are about as P.C. as builders or ex-convitcs.
They then made me jump though all of the hoops and fired me anyway despite the fact that nobody got hurt or offended, it's a month before X-Mas, I have rent to pay and I have a wife and kid to feed.
Anyhow thats enough venting for now.
Sorry for infliciting my problems upon you all.
If anybody knows of a good job going for a storesman in Palmerston North let me know.

Sorry to hear that. I thought uncouth behaviour was peeing in the sink and stuff. Maybe they are scared of you... not sure if you would ever actually be violent to a person... what's the employment situation like? Palmerston North is a pretty small place, isnt it?

Palmy isn't that small (it's not a big city tho) but the employment situation suck coz nobody is wanting to take on new staff at the momment.
You would think that the bars would be hiring since it's the run up to X-mas and all but they all want exsperianced staff.
I have managed to find some temp work tho at the local labour hire and hopefully that will keep me and the familly warm, dry and well fed over the season of Bah Hummbug

I grew up in london but my family come from Lewis in sussex and I've travelled a lot so I know big cities and small cities and Plamy ain't the smallest city that I've been to.
I will agree that Palmy is quite small by international standards but internationally there are still much smaller cities out there.
