Posted: I've been looking into spinning the poi by one handle when they're tangled together in the middle (inspired by the knotthrows thread).
Thinking about it a figure of eight should be pretty doable with this (with fire) i.e. spin one circle holding one end of the poi and then as they come down in the middle grab the other end and swing them back around. Trying to wrap my head around the change of direction and whether this would undo the knot and send one poi flying.
