Hey guys
My name is Alex and I'm a 25yo chick from the Southern Highlands, NSW Australia. I'm currently doing a BA Japanese at Wollonging Uni (I'm older and "wiser" Aunty Alex in the class), am into the psytrance scene, and am reading Patricia Cornwell at the moment (love her stuff!). I was introduced to poi by one of my friends who is amazing at it, including fire poi, and the beauty of it captured me. I myself am a REAL novice, but I'm keen to learn! So nice to meet you all, as I think the poi scene down here is pretty non-existent!

Oh yeah, here's the REST of the info apart from from what I've already mentioned...!
Location: Mittagong, 2hrs south of Sydney (next to Bowral where those boring Tulips are)
DOB: 16/8/1981
Occupation: I work in a newsagency and in a supermarket
Foods: Gimme olives...OLIVES! and other antipasto stuff.. and iced coffee!
Colours: Black and silver together, as well as blues and greens
Toys: I own one set of poi, nothing too flash, but I think the balls at the ends are too light for me (lack of momentum and more effort to swing them round?)
Hobbies: I'm into the outdoors, going to doofs, body piercing, learning languages, cats, sewing, and play outdoor and indoor soccer.
Movies: mmm, I like a good thriller...not hugely into movies (I tend to fall asleep in the cinema)
TV shows: At the moment, I enjoy watching "Miami Ink" on pay TV. It's a show about a tattoo shop. And who could go past the humour of "Cops"!
My goals: I have an interest in management, and so after uni will hopefully run my own business and be able to incorporate my Japanese. Or maybe a translator? Or run my own little alternative style shop in northern NSW? And: play a psytrance set at a doof when I finally get off my bum and practice on my decks. Someone kick me!
Music: I enjoy dance music - psytrance, hard trance, etc, but am also into faure's requiem and the lark ascending, Sting, Yes, and anything good to sing to!
Ice cream flavour: Hokey Pokey!

Hey Ravehead! What's 'Planet Yes' (from your pix)? Is it a rave/doof type event? I've got two Mackie SRM450s at home, for when I get off my lazy bum and go and practice on my decks... Also, I used to have my Category H pistol license, but unfortunately I can't afford the club membership at the moment.
