i am nearly completely computer illiterate. it took me about three weeks just to register onto this site and so far it has caused nothing but confusion.
can someone please explain what a post and a thread is- and how to use both, or even choose one to start doing something with. i don't even know how i got onto this page i am writing now and was quite disturbed as it said i had to make my subject unique and meaningful. i'm quite sure i am unique in the fact that i am a total spaz .re: computers. and i really mean it when i say that !!! not even sure i know how to read the replies to this. help !!!!

A post is what you have just done. This is also a post.
A thread is a collection of of posts.

A thread is made up of posts in the same way that a book is made up of chapters.

You are member number number 3826 though. confused

Hello Neph, welcome to the technological marvel that is HoP! biggrin

Stick around, I'm sure you'll get used to things, failing that, just ask, there's usually someone who knows the answer to most things (though noone's been able to tell me what next week's lotto numbers are yet - slackers!)

Next weeks lotto numbers are: 3-8-26-27-34-38 although each single number will be drawn in a different country.
