Hello Peeps! Good to see there is a forum dedicated to Poi.....I had no idea there was a place for poipeeps on the web!
I'm new to the site, just thought i'd say hello!! I'm Gaz or 'lightapoi' as my mates call me! I'm from the NW...
One of my friends recommended this site to me! Hopefully i'll spend less time on the forum than him....
I've been whirling the ol fire beans for a few years now and thankfully not hurt myself too much in the process although i've taken out a fair few other people whilst learning over the last few years!
anyhoo hopefully i'm looking to show some of my skillz of at a few festivals! Does anyone here doi poi at festivals regularly?
I'd love to hear from you if you do cause most of my friends arent really into poi..... i want to meet some new peeps from here to have a laugh with and hoopefully learn some new tricks along the way!
anyway! thats me....

Ahhh well busted! that was worse than dads army,i knew it was going to happen......No harm done...no one was overly agressive or offensive and it was all in good spirits...lighten up.
I for one havent got a problem with Poi itself......its more the type of person that smacks me over the head with a poi at silly oclock in the morning! And the attention seeking poi types....
talk about moderators of steel..... Cool Good work.... Very Happy

But it's all so plastic. None of their "trying to fit in" posts has any feeling or humanity to it. They're much better when they're being themselves.
I much preferred their posts on their own board when they were all scurrying back with their tails between their legs. And pointing out what rubbish soldiers they'd make etc. That was pure mirth
This is all a little too staid and rigid for me.
