Posted: here are links to 2 videos i have uploaded too google video,
the first shot in my dads garden was on col4 and is therefore a bit old,at the time i was very into running about and jumping over things whilst twirling,
it makes me laugh to watch it now although i was very proud of it at the time.....fond memories
the second video was filmed in sydney there are a few famous landmarks in the background
one of which will be instantly recognised by many backpackers who drank in a certain seedy suburb of the city,
unfortunatly although there are some great shots in the video, watching it on a pc through google destroys some of the video effects which are a lot better on a t.v
i hope you like watching them,i certainly enjoyed the part i played in making them, please let me know what you think good and bad, there will be some more two and three staff videos to follow
Posted: i am on two of the col vids and yes i do spin fast, people say im like a little boy i run around full of energy showing off with my sticks until im worn out then i get tired and grumpy and curl up asleep somewhere,
hopefully one day you will see me perform and i can change you mind about the high speed stuff, the idea behind it is to makes continuous trails like kids do with sparklers on guy fawkes night,it doesnt look any where as near as good on film as it does in real life,
there is also a deeper reason for my speed which is one i will only explain to people in person cos its a bit mental!?!?!? hugs tim

Posted: I don't think I'll ever speed up my spinning... I go at a speed I'm comfortable with, and I like it like that
Your face when you're spinning looks like you're pumped up to the eyeballs with adrenilen - I like it
Fire for me is something I do to relax and have fun with, and when I'm not gigging, all that I do is what comes naturally, and for me thats slow(ish) spinning
Would love to see you jump around and do your thing in real time.
If holiday from work and funds allow I plan to do a little bit of visiting the northen part of sunny england for some meets. Might see you then!

Posted: stunning vids the first 1 just made me laugh, im like the rolling off the bench the second 1 is really well done, i like the camera work with the staff being thrown up to the guy filming.
any ways keep up the good work
DONT DO DRUGS THERE BAD FOR YOU. SO GIVE THEM ALL TO ME AND I WILL GET RID OF THEM FOR YOU!
Posted: pitman, thanks the other end of that bench had my mate holding and tipping it im afraid,it was a bit of a cheat...
aimee,im glad you have found a speed you enjoy its important we all follow our own path...mine just happens to be a fast 1 let me know when you come up north
Posted: lsk thanks......moving can be great fun whilst twirling whether its dancing acrobatics of running about like a nutter it also looks good from a performance point of view, funky music can also be a great source of inspiration would love to see a video some time?
Posted: if you are ever up north and fancy training together give me a shout im sure we could figure out some new and funky stuff together, i will look forward to your new video, and filming yourself will definatly be beneficial for you technique and performance capabilities,
Posted: Cool, I'll keep it in mind, but I don't really get up north that often.
Yeah, I'm sure it would help to see myself spin, it sounds kinda stupid, but when I practise on sunny days, I tend to watch my shadow to get an idea of how fluid it looks.
Posted: Word, big windows are the way, make it so much easier to sort stuff out, and you can check with a bit more accuracy on how good your ceiling plane is! I love your style, it's looks so gleeful and frenetic, but not sketchy at all.
I spin fairly quickly myself, and do a fair bit of wandering around, makes you think about freeing up your spinning apart from anything else!
Posted: imakokde.merci beaucoup mon amis.......from one burner to another i take what you say as a massive compliment....love and respect to my french fire friends.
joe 47 thanks for the compilment,i have always spun very fast on one staff and find it a massive release of energy and adrenalin,as for not looking sketchy, that took me years of hard practise although most people in the fire community think speed is a cheap trick and unskillfull, a contact staff twirler once told me to get moves clean shes has to repeat them for years....................if only i had thought of that(he growls sarcastically) so its nice to know some one apprecites the cleanliness of my speed,
