A bit about me,

I'll honest upfront. I don't spin anymore except to entertain those who knew I used to and still wish to see it at BBQs and other gatherings.

My real intrest is in the debate of these forums.

I loved it when I used to post and I'm sure I'll find enjoyment in it again.

One thing I didn't like was the foolishness of the people and their unwillingness to see the biggest picture of all.

I'll see what I can do to overcome my own dislikes for the sake of the debate.

See you around.

Well... I can see that any opinion that is not anti-bush/christian pro-drug/abortion is not tolerated because my first post was just deleted with no explination. Then I was called a troll in my own intro thread. I can't say that I am supprised.

The people have not grown a bit, I guess that is it for me.

Sad, truly sad.

Well, posts do get deleted by the mods without notification these days, and it can be a bit distressing, so sympathy for that.

However it is generally because for one reason or another they are deemed unhelpful in a site devoted to poi spinning and, as a corollary, international communication. I did read your thread and it did seem to weigh in with insult to everyone on the board with no explanation of why. The phrase 'of faith' was a clue, however, in that seems to be current jargon for 'Christian'. You seem to be upset that few other people on this thread are. However, there are people here of lots of faiths, as well people who are not at all *pro-drug* and people who defend all sorts of 'rightwing' (and other) ideas. Their posts do not get deleted because they post in the manner of engaging other people. Your faith, political beliefs, and even your distress about life as you find it belong here. Flaming and generalised insults do not.

There is discussion, but there is also stirring. Most people believe trolls stir.

Regarding 'the biggest picture of all'- I believe it's one of those things if you claim to see, you don't see. But then to each his own.

Welcome to HoP, and may you find what you're after.

I have a lot of time for people with faith, whether that faith is Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Sikh, Hindu, Taoist, or any other. Some of my closest and best friends are very strong believers, and I respect them for their beliefs as they respect me for mine.

Just because not all of our many thousands of members are Christian doesn't mean we're not seeing the "bigger picture." As I see it the big picture is that my life is only one of billions of lives on the planet, all as important as each other.

Christianity doesn't have the monopoly on peace and love, and they are more important to me than aligning myself with one belief system over another.

My only problem with your comments so far are what you say above.
I myself do not have a "religion" as such, however i do have the utmost respect and admiration for people of any faith.

"Judge not, that ye be judged.
For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."
Matthew 7:1-2

I'm sure you will understand what i mean by that.

welcome to HoP, and i hope you get some sort of enjoyment out of these forums.

Welcome to HoP Deep End smile :waves:

And welcome to the club wink smile At least nobody wrote a comment in your name... wink

When posting you have to follow the board rules - no offence, no hostility and you have to search whether the topic was there before.... in this case I remember a "hostility-thread" that tackled the same topic.... but am too busy to look for it right now.

Your opinion, however, is welcomed - I am sure about this! Just you may understand that on a board with 30.000 + members, Malcolm and the Mods have little time and therefore little patience... Can't blame them...

But however: Welcome and pls have a little patience with us meditate

grouphug

the best smiles are the ones you lead to wink

You also have to understand that we are a community here and if someone starts a thread or even a post that attacks someone or the community as a whole we will defend ourselves and eachother wink
I for one will defend anyones right to thier opinion, even if I dont agree with it, but they must be respectful to the others around here wink
Now lets all take a deep breath meditate and try to have fun biggrin
