Just did a quick search for this and couldnt find anything so apologies if its been covered before. I'm looking for some video editing software (no dont hold your breath for a vid just playing around at this stage ubblol). Im hoping for something fairly simple to use and preferably free *looks in wallet in disappointment*. If anyone could recommend anything it would be muchly appreciated smile

Do a search on the web for Pinnacle Studios - real easy to use interface....

Sony Vegas 5.0 - use this for a little more complex video playing

Adobe Premier Pro - mother of all editing software.... i dont think there is anything you cant do...

Out of all the above id recommend pinnacle to start with - the other two i use alot and would say that Vegas seems to be more stable and requires less system resources for smooth running biggrin

Good Luck ubbrollsmile

I've tried them all I'm sure smile

Sort of free are Windows Movie Maker and iMovie on the Mac and other small ones out there.

Pinnacle Studio, uLead, Sony & Adobe have some drag and drop type software for editing and some more pro types also.

More pro are, Vegas 6, Adobe Premier, Media Studio Pro, Final Cut Pro

Very Pro are, Avid, Liquid, & Combustion (more for effects)

I like Vegas myself... it looks a bit difficult at first and the manual is large but it is easy to catch on to and feels snappy but there is always render time unless you have $10,000 to spend on all the hardware. LOL

throw your pc in the bin

worship final cut pro as the god it is.

Seriously though I've been using final cut pro since the beta version and it beats avid with a stick it's both the easiest to use and most powerful.

You'd be amazed at how much exactly the same finalcut and adobe premier pro are. Exactly, button for button, pretty much. Rendery wise it's slightly different, but general editing, it's the same program. As far as the editing we do here is concerned, a high end pc is just fine. All depends on what you have sitting on your desk. It's the business you'll never need another program. PC - premier MAC - Finalcut
