This might help some people just starting to experiment with photographing themselves.

Image below is staff lit at one end only.
Exposure time 6 sec.
Fuel used - Colemans

For the following, Exposure time 6 sec. Lit both ends and Metholated Spirits used for fuel. Have found that you can get some pretty cool affects by using metho, may not wow the croud with brightness, but is great for lowering contrast in images.

True Rusto, but you can get similar effects out of the camera just by changing the f-stop and keeping the exposure the same, it won't let as much light in, thus your flames won't be so hot (overexposed... pardon the pun)

Fuel for photography? I'd advise silver emulsion film.

Looks like your also spinning different and faster in the second photo. Not a good comparison but interesting results.

and you can also add an nd-filter if you can't close the appeture further.
