Hi
Im looking for people in the newcastle area to join me on a mini adventure...I have been asked to provide a fire collective containing two staff, two poi , fire breathing and two juggelers..(I do poi and devil sticks ) for a big out door gig ....we will be entertaining the bands, management and press ect back stage...I need confident people of a good standard...Ill be going down the Civic center on Wed nights at 9pm to look for people ...starting this wed...24th aug..If you fancy it turn up or PM me for more details. The gig will be filmed for a DVD ...a good chance to show off your skills whilst having a really good time. If you dont live in Newcastle or surrounding areas but know some one who does pleaes give them a heads up about this

id say id help out but im still not that good and could only offer the staff.
but im positing more to say hi im in newcastle and looking for ppl i the area to meet up with and practise with.

but for everyone else thats interested:
we meet in the gardens just in front of the civic center every WED . If you stand at luckies bar on the corner its just opposite there. If you pop into luckies first theres nearly always someone carrying sticks, staff clubs ect and everyone is really friendly. Meeting time starts when anyone wants really, could be anything from 7 -12 I usually go about 9.
there are people of all standards and those with more experience will willingly help starters ...

Also...a friend of mine is starting her second year of 'Circus club' at newcatsle college in Sept...It a weekly meeting for people of all standarts and ties in with the wed night meetings. Ill keep you posted on details for this...If oytu wanna check it out though...turn up to Newcastle Colleges Students union and ask for details starting in Sept...probably second week..

The event its self is not going to be in newcastle...it'll be in yorkshire... So anyone who fancies a go is welcome...will need to see a performance first though

How well is it paid Sammy? What are the dates? What's the venue? Is it a repetetive thing or a one off? Is insurance provided or expected? CanI fit any more questions into one sentance?
I can't show you my 'moves' but I'm sure many folks here will testify that I'd spin well enough for a gig
I'm interested if the money is ok and I can fit it into current happennings (we're having a baby soon you see) let me know here or by PM
