i've just (yesturday) started and i absolutely love it! I'm trying to weave but i'm finding it really hard. any tips or advice from anyone? i

Hello and welcome to hop!
My advice is to start with something easier than the weave. Turns. Or butterflys. Or corkscrews.
Then, once you're used to the movement of the poi, the weave will be easier.
