I figured this was just crazy enough to get some support around here
My girlfriend and I have come up with the crazy idea of trying to get her nearly-20 mini, Hubert, on MTV's Pimp My Ride UK.
You see, it's gotten to the point where the poor thing is rusting away to death and in a couple of years if not months we shall have to have him put-down. You can't ask us to do that to a car so cute, can you? So we came up with the bizarre idea of having him saved and turned into something new and (sadly) probably crass but a point from which we could keep him alive anyway.

There is a slight problem, from MTVs point of view, in that all you need to do is get your hands on a couple of email addresses and just type em in.
Not that i didnt that of course

it's not a problem for mtv, it's a problem for you.
1) When selecting a winner all they need to do is email a selection of the people who signed it. If they all bounce, they'll know you cheated.
2) They'll probably sell your email addresses to spammers anyway.

My mates Girlfriend had her car done for PIMP MTV UK, it's the first one of the series I think, a Morris Minor. (she's also a fire spinner, of sorts) I haven't seen it yet but they did it a few months ago and apperently the car now kicks major ass...as you'd expect
I doubt you'll get in as the cars were selected long long ago but you might for the next series, or one after. Thing is with anything like a VW, Mini, Moggy etc they have thousands of applications compared to a run of the mill 80's Ford Sierra so your chances are quite limited.
Good luck tho, you don't ask you don't get so at least you've taken the most important step! (you have applied officially yeah?)

I had a pimped mini once, it was convertible with a single large sheet of ally as the dashboard...
It never worked, i bought it for a tenner *sigh*

Dunc, we don't expect to get on this series, we expect to get on a later one if at all. And I've seen the Morris Minor post pimping. It looks very loverly.
