Okay, do you ever find that you have patterns to the names of the people in your life?

For example, the women in my life all tend to have uncommon names...Reed, Allyson, Noelle, Denise, Pauline, Bernice, Paula, Irene, Danielle, Michie, Rafiqa... none of these are really common names, at least not around here.

However, the men tend to fall into patterns.

I know no less than 6 Jims. They all are fun loving, tend to be fix-it guys, very inventive, kind and giving.

I know about 5 Christophers, and they all preferred to be called Chris. They are all extremely artistic, mellow, nature loving, inquisitive, caring, adventurous and all of them have a great sense of humor and quick wit.

I know 4 Marks. Each of them plays it safe in life, tend more towards 9-5 living and computers. They are the strong types, but are very social and funny.

Now, I am not saying this is true for every person with those names. I just found it extremely interesting how I have such extreme repetitions with similar personality traits (obviously each is still a very unique individual though) in the males, but the women are all quite diverse.

Anyone else run into something like this?
I think it is really interesting but it gets confusing when I tell stories! lol

"Well, she has a lot of schoolwork recently - being at university..." "Neither this Luci - it's the one at highschool...remember?" ... ... ... I'm doing kung fu for two years and I khow some three or four girls called Luci from there...:)

Most of the girls I know have slightly uncommon names. Mae, Samara, Priya, Sharde, Rosemary, Brooke, Serena, Eleanor. There are a few boys that have uncommon names, but it is either because
A) Their parents are from another country
B) They are the third person in the family with that name.

Here's an example of the joys of confusion in my (now) old school:
"Rachel, please answer #6."
(silence)
"Oh right! I forgot there were three of you."

in my grade three class there were three of us with the same name. It was very interesting when the teacher would yell at one of us, the other two would jump.
I've found that you can associate certain traits with names, but not always.

I sort of fit into one of Pele's catigories, but I don't particularly feel like divulging my real name so I'll just leave you wondering.

I've dated Two Pamelas and Two Jessicas :P
My brother is dating a girl named Melissa (for like 6 years now, I expect they'll hitch up). And for a year and a half I also was dating a girl named Melissa :S It was kinda strange while it was happening.

But in the way Pele was mentioning, The other Graham in my group of friends is almost exactly like me, to the point of same body size/build, and even close to the same voice :O We are both incredibly athletic, but it's the fine details that make us very different people.

We're common as muck biggrin

There were 7 Clare/Claires in my school year.

Puh. If I'd been a boy I would be Patrick or Conor.

'Julia' and 'Brian' are my two cluster names it seems. Used to be 'Kim' as well, but that has dimished greatly. I get a lot of 'stephanie' types parading around as "steffie" as well. Oh, and I just can't escape "anna" no matter where I live.

Two very nice ones.
One questionable one because I really don't know her.
One is qualifies as a zilla-beast.

But I am not close to any of them
