hmmm
so me and a few others were thinking of making an event instead of glastonbury, for those of us who couldnt get tickets cuz they were expensive, or those of us who ahd the money and tried for 5 odd hours to get through with no luck
anywho i dont know where it would be most convinient for most people pink said london......seems like a good idea cuz of the megabus and all that
it would be like a mini falmouthy sort of thing i guess.....i could get some bands to play possibly
any takers?

ill do it if no one minds... im really bored...
but before we start, we need to get together a list we can actually vote on
So far we have

Bristol
Oxford
Soton
Polzeath...maybe
Newquay + Hostel

Yup, our band is full of juggler/spinners.
From where I'm standing its a toss up between London and Bristol. Personally, I'm not bothered which as far as travel goes because there's places I can crash at in both. But...London is closer if we were to haul our equipment along!

edit: hope you guys dont mind but checked a coupla sites near bristol, and one guy i spoke to said that bands arent realy appropriate and that places like newquay are more appropriate. any suggestions? i dont know what you guys think about going more south. does anyone not know a place near them where we might be able to go?

I'm not sure about the music license or how such things as PPL work. It might be more worthwhile for you guys forgetting the music side so much for the moment and concentrate on finding somewhere. I think if you guys are wanting to host your own "festival" you might come into difficulty. If i was you guys i'd find somewhere first, take a couple of decks and go from there. You have to bear in mind other people staying at the same place - i think you're going to have trouble finding an empty place.
