So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

She is inspired to do more now! yay! She has taken pics too.

Well at Common ground I plan to bring henna, lots of it, so I get to meet and hold everyones hands for a little while. I can bring fire making kits which are heaps of fun to play with, fire is always fun biggrin biggrin biggrin
Chocolate fondue is on the cards for the menu we have decided as well. Interesting suitcase I will have smelling of kero and with odd little forks as well.

its yannicus, the frenchman from moonfest who tried out your kickass snakes. i still remember how my heart rate exploded when i was swinging those deathly firecurtains. how r things? i know you dont go online much, but might as well take the risk of venturing into your personal intro thread, as dangerous and perverse as it may be.

*cue laughs* *applause*

yeah, bad joke. anyways, drop a line in my tiny inconspicuous intro thread which must be somewhere in the back room of the site, on the lower shelves, covered in cobwebs and whining its solitude; sorry couldn't make it to the monday meet, tis a little cold, will try to make it sometime.

Hey everyone- sorry I've been so slack lately. Between uni restarting and going out way too much (went to see les miserables couple of days ago, Raychel Stone day before yesterday, Sigur Ros in a few days- and may Sarah Blasko between... mmm)- not to mention having my unbacked up harddisk die a tragic tragic death, I've just not chance to post much..

Btw Gnor- you're a blessing. Turns out I have a few small version of my fire pictures left because I put them on a cd before I printed them off to post to you!

Puk, won't be at juggle til after 10 on Monday.. got something else up. I've posted your stuff already, though I've got to return you your camera..

Nat: Hope the travels are going ok.. where are you today? *wonder*

gita: Your pics are getting better and better! Thanks so much for the high res copy!!

gita: Compliments where they're due! *awaits the next spectacular photato..* wink

Gnor: I'll have to get out and take more.. my camera's been resting a bit lately. She's been working real hard and is thinking she doesn't want to start churning them out en masse.. But you'll be one of the first people to know if there's new stuff wink

Puk: Cool! Still have stuff which needs downloading and sorting out, so the extra time is brilliant. Will possibly see you tomorrow, and if not, enjoy Blackwater! weavesmiley

Brazing's a bit like soldering- but less delicate. A plasma cutter's the coolest thing- it cuts through sheet metal like it were butter! Might actually run over and have a play tomorrow if I have some time ubblove
