Greetlings people,


Intro-o-rama........ well........ I have seen people doing poi at parties/festivals for many years now and always thought it looked fantastic, although much too complikatid for my wee brain. Getting chatting to people doing fire, and meeting some new friends at a festival inspired me to get started. Several of my friends do use fire staff and other fire toys although most of them are at Uni, so we dont get to go spinning much.

I have been doing poi since the end of the Summer, so about 5 months, using home-made sock poi , and more recently a friend made me some amazing poi out of sheer organza and tennis balls, loads of amazing colours, look like Dragons tails when spinning . This Christmas I received my first ever Fire Poi (from HOP of course - Monkey fist!) and havent had the chance to spin them lit yet as I am still getting used to the weight. I need to practice more as at the moment I am only doing about 2 hours a week, should be more like 2 hours a day! Eek!

My interests are psy-trance, parties, cider (lots and lots) and unsurprisingly fire spinning (which i have actually only done about 5 times before but I love it!)

Desparately seeking people who are local to my area to spin with and learn from cos there is only so much you can gather from websites and videos! Arg!
