Hi there, as you can see im a newbie to all of this, My partner has been spinning for about 4 years now and i did try back then but shall we say that patience isnt my strong point...
Im into flags and poi and as my partner has just purchased some flags i think they will be mine he doesnt know this yet but they are MINE......
But seriously as i previously said im new to this and want to learn desperatley so any advice or suggestions to make my partners life easier and less stressfull to teach me would be a great advantage...

Only advice I have is keep a sense of humour. It is better to laugh at the hundredth hit to the back of the head than cry.
Oh! and you have to learn the victory dance that you do over the poi once you have beaten them. Once you can do a move 10 times in a row without the poi hitting you, you throw the poi to the floor and dance over them taunting them. I find it most theraputic and it always makes me laugh.... but then I'm not all that well balanced I'm sure other people will give you much better advice than I, so swiftly move on to the following posts!

Advice - find out how you learn best, and go with that! For me i like learning from books, and so i have one. A friend can't learn from text and watches the videos
Always good to find a good poier as well, and it looks like you have one built in Hopefully he can teach

There may be one for everyone but what if there is two for three would that mean none for someone or did they start off without one....

Yes thats true im guilty of giving up Like i said after seeing so many performances and outstanding pics im green with envy so decided to give it another go 
My partner purchased me a book on poi spinning which i recieved in post yesterday so just been reading and learning from that Just wish we had decent weather so i could go outside
