Hi, I am only a month into poi. Does anyone know where to get poi stuff in Bristol? I get mine in Camden but Bristol would obviously be much easier! I have been doing long poi but after a demo from someone doing short, it looks much better. What is anyones opinion on this, should I stay long or go short? And which is easier on fire?

Hello! biggrin

Welcome to HOP!

wavehello welcome

Oooo, Poi from Camden, I'm going there on Thursday with a friend to get myself some funky toys, Yay! biggrin

Um, regarding long or short poi, its all personal preferance i guess. I've seen people do fabulous things with both, and want to ultimatly be able to use both well, but i'd say start with whatever feels comfortable, especially when its on fire wink

I smile because i have no idea whats going on!! biggrin

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

If you have long poi....you can make them shorter....but if you have short poi...they'll always be short...

I have shortened my poi luckily being long was able to do this, and things seem to be going better now. But am a bit nervous about fire short, just guess will have to try it and see!

Seems short is the way to go!
