I found an awesome place to get aluminum for staffs. It's in Salem & called Airport Steel. You can get any length you want, up to 8 feet, they cut to order & it's pretty sturdy, 3/4 in diameter. They also have thick aluminum which is over 1/4 inch (I think). I've found that the thick stuff fits perfectly in the other so you can buy two short sections to strengthen the end & just secure it inside with some heat resistent auto sealent & it also helps give extra strength when the kevlar is attatched. It only cost me 7.50 for a five foot section & two 3in sections of the thick stuff for the ends; they cut it to match my specs. Happy building!
