Hello!
well i shall start at the beginning, I got my first poi about a year ago, having never been one to exercise the mantra - practise makes perfect, i didn't... for the best part of that year. However then it got sunny again and I got the degree work out of the way, so the poi have returned into my life.
Then... About three weeks ago I met Mags & Brad in sunny sunny Falmouth (it's Rhiannon if you remember..) and the glaring inadequacies in my own poi spinning were highlighted....
Hence a new found determination to practise. - I was also lurking at Maenporth and took shiteloads of photos which I will duly post somewhere for those interested when I figure this forum out...
Alas I am no longer in Falmouth having just graduated, and am currently sponging off my parents for a couple of months in Cardiff (any other poi spinners here?!?!)
So that's the story of my journey to the forum, pleasure to find you all, I promise not to post too much random shite (which I can be prone to doing...)

or alien abductions... no-one can argue with alien abductions.... will anyone volunteer to join the dark forces of the galaxy and arrange for my mysterious abduction to take place, (perhaps during lunchbreak, by the castle, then everyone can see and it's quite scenic...) and then to experiment on... me... in Falmouth obviously, because that's the alien HQ... and drop me back Monday in an equally spectacular fashion??

I personally think a far better plan is for Non to spike everyone at works tea with some kind of debilitating virus that will cause all her co-workers and the boss to be too ill to come into work for say..... about ..... um...... 120 hours. That way she can offer to hold the fort and keep the shop going single handedly. All we need to do is get the phone calls from her shop diverted to her mobile phone and have a cardboard cut out of Non smiling in the shop window......with maybe a few cut outs of customers sprinkled around the shop. This will 1) let her come to Falmouth with no one at work knowing and 2) make her boss think she is a star and thus give her a pay rise

uhhhm, yes, i came here to tell you all that i have manufactured my own poi from shoelaces and old socks for until i have the money to go into the magical poi shop in camden and buy some! thought the idea of me standing in my garden swinging socks around might amuse you... so i have come here to publically humiliate myself... i hope you appreciate it!
