So...I've just finished my week of work experiance at Heathercroft training services.

Wasn't really anything i didn't expect. wasn't really work 'experiance' either sitting on reception going 'hello Heathercroft aimee speaking' just dosn't do it for me.

Things ive learned: how to use that blasted photocopier (that thing is evil)

*racks her brain* oh! I now know what a sheath mesurer(sp?) looks like. and thats about it really!

Things ive gained: £20 argos voucher from all the staff, which isn't to shabby. Going towards a new mp3 player me thinks, and an invitation to an Anne Summer's party - polietly turned down might I add ubbangel

Not a bad week...would have rather been at school with my friends but hey, i need the 'experiance'

Aimz xx

ah, work experience. *thinks back a surprisingly high number of years* I did mine working for my dad smile cheating i know, but it was easier. and i knew how to do that stuff anyway. Had a great time, tho, cos i was working lots with my brother in law, and we get along great. remember, crawling through ceilings on a 45 degree celsius day wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt (to keep out the fibreglass, cos its itchy as) is not good. especially when you get stuck.

Pink, you're the only person I know who had fun doing it. I spent 2 weeks coughing in the dusty archives of a records centre, no doubt contracting some weird disease bound up in the pages of a seventeenth century pig breeding record book. Then I got to spend a day translating latin documents.

Word by word as I don't speak it.

Woo.

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

I was sneaky and worked with my sisters' company for a week. She's a web designer and works from home which basically meant I got a week at home, doing no work.

I also spent a couple of days at the local radio station...it was great! I loved the place and the people and wrote a crappy article about hedgehogs which got read during the news. Hmm, hedgehogs.

smells like burning teenagers..

I did mine at a natural health centre, It was a two minute walk, i got two hour lunches, free reflexology, used the float tank for an hour and got taught the basics or massage for free. all i had to do was sit in reception and answer the phone that rang once or twice a day.

Wouldn't mind going back and getting a job in the conference centre... if only i had a car and a licence... might be a problem

My work experience was in the good ol' days of 2 weeks, and it was fantastic.
I worked at a local white water sports centre. My family and I had known the people who ran it for years (one was my brothers ex coach), and I knew most of the staff already.
It was just 2 weeks hanging out with my mates, in a cool place! biggrin biggrin biggrin

I worked in Our Price for two weeks. Very boring. The only good thing was that it was in a shopping centre and my friends worked in other shops there so we all got to meet up at lunch time. They gave me Ok Computer at the end of it which I was really pleased about and I still listen to it now... Radiohead ubblove
