My last memory of new years eve this year is dancing with a friend of a friends mum in my teachers house, while wearing a pink thong over my jeans. Thankfully my teacher was as drunk as me, and so didnt remember it to bring up in class.

I can't believe the ending to Requiem - the whole thing left me feeling really amazed but violated somehow. Really puts you off smack mind you.

Wilkomen!

Davy

*edit* Oh, turns out I've been caught in a pink thing more that I remember.

Davy looking creepy in a thong.

Hmm. See, when i did smack (many moons ago when i was very young and wacky) there just weren't any good films about it.

Except Drugstore Cowboy. And possibly Naked Lunch (bit tenuous though)

Requiem's very very good. Trainspotting's pretty good. Basketball Diaries is remarkably accurate, for a Di Caprio vehicle.

*tries to think of others*

Vix, did i read on some other post that you read Junk? As in the Burroughs book? Have you read "Queer"?

god yes!

if you have never read burroughs, 'junky' is the perfect place to begin.

its a (quasi) autobiographical account of his addiction, from first hit to living day to day as an addict in ny.

and if you don't believe me, ask will self.

now that *is* a cushy job smile

i work for a law firm (supposedly).

a couple of my friends went to uni in oxford (they lived on the infamous cowley road of students) but all i've ever done there is drink and buy too many things from the comic shop.

talking of drinking - i'm off to a leaving do type lunch now with the strict intention of getting quite wobbly.

see ya around smile

I go quite a lot - Mrs Durbs is at Brasenose College, so during term time I'm down more-or-less every other weekend smile

Had a quick spin at the fireworks last year (saw some people doing fire there too - wouldn't have been you would it?) and play around a bit when I'm out with her - If you ever see someone contact juggling in a club at a weekend, chances are it'll be me smile
