I just wanted to notify everyone that Coltronix will be releasing an improved form of the streetlight in the near future. the information I recieved from Neon Husky reads as follows:

New Streetlights - Stronger, brighter, and more! No, we're not all
dreaming. Within the next few weeks we will have new, better
Streetlights. Here's what we have been told about them by the manufacturer:

o Much stronger - one of the selling points we have heard is that the new
units will survive a drop of 3 metres. Yes, you read that correctly. We
will be testing this as soon as we have samples and will let you know for
sure. It's unlikely that this new design will make Deflectors obsolete,
but we expect it to dramatically increase the life of each light.

o Brighter - "Trip" mode will no longer have diminished
brightness. We're not sure how this will happen, it may result in shorter
battery life but it will make for a much better effect.

o Cost - So far the new Streetlights will be the SAME PRICE! More
information on this as soon as we have definite numbers.

this seems Fan-feaking-tastic, even though I'd trust my weakest toys to survive a 3 meter drop, the increased durability might make them worthy for the HOP shop. what do you think Malcolm?

what do they weigh? an ounce? A drop of 3 metres is un-fan-tasticly-spec-tac-u-lar, heh. The force of such an impact is miniscule and not even comparable to the sort of force associated with high speed impacts from spinning.

wow, thanx for the response, I didn't actually expect to hear from you that soon. your knowledge of the new flash implies that you have more information about the improvements. are you willing to post it?

have to agree with the three metre drop sounding pretty useless... but the staffs look lovely, with the casing and all...mmmmm

might have to get a couple of them cause the thought of paying another 350 quid for a matching aerotech is quite scary.....
