Is it just me, or do most people do less fire in the winter.

It's ironic that at the darkest time of year i do the least fire spinning, but it's just so coooooold!

In Houston, people tend to do more in winter (except for the really bad nights) than in the summer. In the summer, the nights are too dang hot to spin! you wind up drenched in sweat and don't cool off for like 20 minutes (it is really humid in houston, and summer nights can easily stay in the mid 80s (30 degrees C).

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

I love spinning in winter. Ya don't get all sweaty. biggrin And once you get moving you really don't notice the cold (Dancing with FIRE kinda helps there...) Also, spinning WHILE it is snowing is awsome... surreal experience, like spinning in a snow-globe! Just gotta make sure ya don't hit the ground or drop your staff, cause snow puts it out real quick and may get the wicks wet. And the way that the flickering of the flames reflects off the crystals of snow is just wonderful!

Wear a hat and gloves (I use finger-gloves) and you can do it. As soon as your warmed up you barely notice the cold, I'm tellin ya. I spin in a T-shirt and it isn't that bad, but you can always wear a light turtle neck and be even better!

Yeah the fingerless gloves make a big difference, the only bit of me that seems to get cold is my hands so I use my cycling gloves and I'm lovely and toastie...I think that I could spin nude in the winter and be warm so long as I had my fingaless gloves on!! biggrin

Let's relight this forum ubblove

hey hey hey,
it might be cold to spin in the winter, but that´s not the worst problem. The worst thing according to me is you have to wear so much clothes to be outdoors that when fully dressed you can barely move, let alone spin! Also ofcourse you need to find a spot without metre high snow or your poi will go out all the time.

Mind that grammar!!!
