Been "twirling" since: i got my good-ol sand bags from some hippys in airley beach! if that description fits you feel free to say hi! however my very first time was on school camp in NZ in grade 6. I then started "spinning" when I went to the UK and got teased for saying "twirling"
Occupation: recently returned aid worker
Hobbies: rowing, writing, socialising, music, poi, staff, performing, juggling, languages, dancing, reading

Bek we really don't need them up here in the NW. Triple digits are a major heat wave for us. Normal summer temps are in the 80's to mid 90's. No where near hot enough to have an airconditioner.

I'm not completely Mr Thicko - I did get the Poet Loriet thing but just wasn't sure if there was a connection to some thread event that I missed or whatever. You know - any logic behind it.

Ooooh...I can't wait to see real lorikeets...I hear they are sooooo pretty...
Gidg...to me, that's way hot enough to need air conditioner...but I doubt you're quite as humid up there as we are...which is more of what causes the need for the a/c...I can deal with a little heat, but when it's so hot and the humidity is up in the 90th percentile, it makes it a bit tough to breathe without drowning...sooooo...lovely, lovely coooooool a/c...

Your right Bek, we don't get nearly the humidity that you do down there. That's why it's OK at 90F and no air conditioning. The one thing that drove me crazy when I lived in Texas was taking a shower, stepping outside and feeling like you needed another shower.

Bek, my ex had lorikeets at his place! it was so cool! they'd eat out of hour hand and there is a great photo of me in a rainbow hat and rainbow skirt being surrounded by rainbow birds!!
