i thought id better update my intro because i didnt like the old one that much.

my name is oli, ive been a member of these boards for about 2 years now, which is a scarily long time.

during this time ive developed some sort of fascination with socks and what happens when you spin them in circles.

im a student with varied intrests including maths, music, reading, traveling, dancing, playing and having fun.

i think the most important thing in life is to be playful even if it means you are like ubbloco ubbloco the whole time.

i love tea and almost all foods except hienz tomatoe ketchup.

i cant spell very well and my understanding of how to write long meaningful sentances is weak.

i have met very many other users of this board over the ;ast couple of years and hug to you all weavesmiley

keep spinning ubbrollsmile

p.s. learnt some new moves on sunday thanks to mr dunc.

And ditto thanks to you Mr O (does that sound like a gay porn name confused) Although I seem to have forgotten some of them :stoner:

So have I let the cat out of the bag with the dread thing? ooopsie!! I won't tell the story of why, that olis perogative (SP?) but I will say I would have done the same thing. Although of course I'd have to have hair to grow dreads with in the first place instead of greybaldiness rolleyes

So will your dreads making a return to the spinning scene Oli?

hug

Get some body shop tea tree shampoo................ if your head still itches after that do a natural nit treatment thing (from a healthshop thingy). It kills eggs and all...........

I panicked earlier in the year cos I was all itchy, did that and all went good.

But, on the plus side, if you do have to lop them off it's just a matter of time til you can sew them in again biggrin biggrin Once they're clean......

So you never need to be properly scared......

hug and stuff man - that really sucks.

I hate nits.....

When we first moved to Wales my sisters kids used to come home from school with them so often it wasn't funny. The main reason they kept getting them was because people were too ashamed to tell everyone when their kids caught them. Thus they would spread each family pretending they didn't have them. It's so damn stupid. We started to tell people if the girls ever came home with them. There is (IMO) no shame to having them, just the annoyance of getting rid of them. You don't have to be unclean to get them, just unlucky enough to have sat close enough to someone with them for them to crawl across to you.

All it takes to get rid of them is a nit comb and conditioner. You put conditioner on the hair and run the comb through everyday for a week. You squash every one you find and eventually they are all gone. I know you can't use a nit comb on dreads so you might have to resort to the chemical options but for undreaded hair I'd go with the Tea Tree conditioner and the comb everytime rather than use pesticides on my or any of my families head. Now you have them cut off Oli you could try keeping them in an airtight container until they all suffocate. Rincing your hair in a weak solution of vinegar after you have washed it can deter them crawlling onto you in the first place.

I hope your hair grows back really soon Oli. hug
