the piercing isn't pointless. shall we have a lesson on anatomy?

the barbell sits right on top of the clit. therefore, minor movement cause the bar to rub the clit. same occurs for oral sex and intercourse. catch my drift?

and i say you should get it regyt. it honestly doesn't hurt.

I'm more afraid of metal detectors than I am of pain.

As for the pain, I have a friend who promised to come with me and hold my hand and let me bite his arm while I get it done. biggrin

As for metal detectors, they're in the courts and the jails, so I have to go through them all the time!

pounce, honey, that was the most comforting of all possible comments.

Now to return to wibbling for a million more reasons. What if it lowers sensitivity? What if it's not placed perfectly? What if it over-stimulates? What if I want to take it out and it leaves a scar? What if I meet the perfect guy except that he doesn't like piercings? (Not inconceivable, I have an an ex whom I'll love forever who thinks they're icky.)

E pluribus unum, baby.

What if it lowers sensitivity?

it won't. i've never heard of that happening. if anything it heightens sensitivity, but rather minutely

Quote:

What if it's not placed perfectly?

they mark the spot for you and you get to agree or ask them to change the spot. and it's such a small area that it would actually be pretty hard to not place it perfectly

Quote:

What if it over-stimulates?

slight possibility, but if that happens you can always take it out. or get a smaller barbell or ring. and i haven't heard of people who had it over-stimulate often. only once in a blue moon do i feel a little sensitive, and i can't even be sure if it's the barbell or just over-stimulation during sex.

Quote:

What if I want to take it out and it leaves a scar?

it's such a small piece of skin that even if it did leave a scar, it would be so unnoticeable.

Quote:

What if I meet the perfect guy except that he doesn't like piercings?

again, you could always take it out. but if he's really perfect, he'd adjust tongue

any more questions i can knock down? ubblol

(Yes, I'm paranoid, but my clit is very important to me.)

Hm, I'll try to remember the rest of my irrational fears so I can list them for you and get them knocked down, too.

ok, first off, getting your hood pierced has absolutely nothing to do with your clit. it doesn't affect it. it won't interfere. now it's possible that a guy might not like it and feel it interfere's with his approach for oral sex. if that's the case, you can always take it out during sex (once it's healed....while it's healing you can't have sex anyway). same for masturbation. but i've never had it interfere. and i don't know a single girl who has.

i understand your paranoia, i was flipping out about it before i got mine too. but i promise you, it will not affect your clit at all. it's like getting your ear pierced....a flap of skin that has barely any nerves. the worst case scenario, you don't like the way it looks so you take it out, it heals, tiny scar if any at all.

any other questions? smile

Nope, that's just you. tongue

I have a friend who pierced his own penis and scrotum a few times. Currently has a piercing done professionally, not sure what it's called, but it's a bar that goes through the head from top to bottom. First time I met him, I had to make him pull down his pants to show me, and then he showed me the home video of when he got it done. He seems very happy with it, and says women seem to love it.

I can do a tattoo, but piercings...make me shudder. Certain ones, anyway.

If I didn't work in corporate america, I'd consider perhaps getting my tongue pierced....maybe.

See? Wuss. biggrin

So....educate me a bit, please...what's the point of getting the hood pierced? Sexual pleasure for him? Asthetic appeal?

SpitFire really wants to know..

didn't i already say you were a wuss?? ubbangel biggrin

ya what neuron said ubblol

really, it's more for looks than anything. same as almost any other piercing (why is it that people always assume genital piercings are for sexual pleasure?? oh...wait....heh wink ) a hood piercing does actually very little for sex but can help in minor ways. pretty much any female genital piercing is gonna be the same as far as effect goes. labia piercings....asthetics. triangle....asthetics and slight increase of sexual pleasure. and that's pretty much the extent of female piercings. the whole notion of a clit piercing is actually a fallacy. most places consider it illegal, and most piercers aren't even willing to try it. i've heard rumors of about 3 piercers in the entire world who are willing to do clit piercings. all you gotta be is like 1/64 of an inch off and she's screwed for life (and not in the good way). most women aren't prominant enough to get it pierced, for one. and even if you did, chances are it would over-stimulate, and what's the fun in that. seriously. i know i wouldn't want to be orgasming every 10 seconds of every day. it would get annoying and take all the fun out of it.

That's a bit disappointing. I mean, I know it's not a clit piercing (ugh, what a terrible idea that would be), but I'd heard from friends that it does increase pleasure and likelihood of orgasming during intercourse. If I got one, it'd be more for possibility of functionality than aesthetics.

sorry regyt. i mean it does raise some sensitivity, and it can assist in sex. but it's not so noticeable that i run around telling everyone to get it done. if you want to noticeably increase your sexual pleasure, tell your partner to get pierced.
