Posted: Hey, Im gonna be taping me and my friends spinning fire and I was curious that when taping how do you get the camcorder to get the long trails as if u were useing a camera with a longer exposure or shutter speed?

Posted: okay mate, activating slow shutter speeds on a video camera usually involves find ans switching the camera's 'mode' function from normal to anything resembling 'low light' or 'night mode'
alternatively, you could look it up in your video camera's manual..
have fun and remember to use a tripod/manual focus/a tipi.

Posted: Bender nailed that one on the head... just check the different "mode/effects" settings on your camera and you might have a streak function on there, but if not you'd have to do it thru your editing software if possible.
