Hello

wavehello

hmmmmmm what to write about me as an intro.....damn its make or break time. First impressions are so vital. Oooooo the pressure.

I'm living in South Wales but originate from Essex (No I don't own White stillettos and No I'm not an Essex girl!). I don't bite, I do pinch, I love chocolate and I one day plan on learning lots of stuff I can't do yet.

Hobbies:- include juggling, balls juggleand clubs , Diablo, poi, doodling, music, hating housework (dust is natures way of showing what the burglars have stolen), making things, pulling things to bits (mainly to see how they work) , embarrassing my nieces and nephews (great fun hobbie that all aunties should take up), hugging trees and talking to bees (watch out for the squirrels......they ARE out to get you!)

Ambitions:- Never to grow up. Learn how to burn things safely ubbangel To that ends learning how to poi without stunning myself, blacking my eye or turning myself into a human torch. Learn to play more than one tune on the guitar. Rule the World. Learn to Surf. Conquer my fear of heights. Travel the world in a van with a man named Bob ("why Bob?" you ask...well why not Bob? I'm sure there are loads of nice men called Bob out there! Simons and Johns need not apply).

Boring stuff:- work in sales to pay the bills.

I blither on an aweful lot and quite a lot of what I say is utter rubbish. The more tired I am the more obverse I get. I'm glad some of my ramblings is of use in the fact it gives people a smile.

I went to a laughter workshop at the BGG. It involved making a bit of a fool of yourself with a whole bunch of other people in a big top and then giggling about it. You wouldn't believe the natural high I had when I came out of it. I recommend laughing to anyone. It's the best thing ever. I'm going to start doing more of the workshops, maybe even running a few.

laughter workshops? bring it on!! ubblol

With all the poking going on, I thought you might like to know that my Russian students said 'Hop!' whenever they poked each other. I asked one of them why, they said 'It's the sound of victory!'

shrug

I don't get it either, but next time I poke someone, I'm going to say 'Hop!'

especially if they're a HoPper! wink

Poking of long serving members can be dangerous. I'd say start with the short to middling servers to get trained in the HoP way of poking, then work your way back to the older members of the board.

CAUTION: Poking moderators can be very dangerous. They have the power to poke you off the edge of the board. Approach with caution, wearing very fast running shoe and a cheeky grin.

I'm ok today. I've stopped being a soppy cow that cries a lot and am just trying to work out the best way to start fixing up this house so I can sell it.

I still feel oddly like there is an empty space in my house. I've never really felt this way before. I've always been so self contained. I have never felt comfortable before being with someone 24/7. I feel so comfortable being with Jon 24/7 that when he isn't here I feel like I have something missing. A very odd feeling for a woman that has always needed time alone before now. I guess I'll get used to it smile

Gayle I can't wait to be living down the road from you, Neal, Hels, Si, Garthy etc. It's going to be so much fun having you all so close. hug

Hi Hels

I'm hoping to be at Bristol, but my health isn't all that great, so well just have to wait and see.

I'm seeing if the guy can get me the w/p fabric on Tuesday. I'll phone him to see if he had any joy with is supplier. If not I'm going to ask him exactly what the name of the fabric is and see if I can source it from somewhere else. He did have a very pretty plane purple fleece there, so I can do the lining you wanted. They also had this weird neoprene fabric that had a bonded fleece lining in it. I felt really wierd. I thought I might buy some and make some kind of hooded jacket with it.... but then I thought again because it probably wouldn't go through my sewing machine because its too rubbery and thick.
