I'm an English newbie who just took up poi on a year in the gorgeous country of New Zealand.
Now I'm back in the UK, and I'd love to meet up with/exchange tips with (get tips from, really)/generally wurble at people who play with poi.

I'm in the North West of England, just on the border between Lancashire and Cumbria..
um.. About me.. uh.. my other hobbies are photography and animals (not sure how they're a hobby either)
I work in a small zoo, so if you need any mousey catching animals, I'm sure I could help.

and Havokist, manchester is no longer in lancashiire, its in greater manchester but its really close to lancashire we even have their cricket ground, but ssshhh or they might want it back

Yep.. I made it. I was the one that just sat round looking nervous and didn't speak to anyone much..
Still had fun though.. Maybe it'd be a bit better if I was a bit better at poi..

Um.. yep, I was the female type one with no kids. There really weren't many people there, were there? I did wander down to the gasworks for a bit too, but not for very long..

Yep, triskadekia *does* mean thirteen.. I've just been using it since I was about 16, when I used to be a proper goff.
I did actually try register as a different name, but the site ate my application..

HEY! i live in lancaster 2. it might b a bit late but r u still lookin 4 places to learn poi? my mum runs poi workshops in lancashire (based in lancaster) i think she might be doin some @ the Gregson next month, ill give u the info after iv spoken to her..(that is,if ur interested)

Umm.. oops, sorry for the slow reply, I sort of removed this from my favourites list without thinking and I've not checked it in months.
Mr M: Yep, I had a brilliant festival and wound up getting a lift back to Hobart with some random folks- did go to the meet up in Hobart that night, but y'obviously weren't there.
Hannar: I would be interested.. except for the fact I'm sorta in Australia, and I'm not all that likely to go back to Lancaster when/if I do move back. Lancaster definitely needs more spinners though!
