My friend and I were having this discussion the other day. High adventure on the seven seas or unmatched stealthy skill? Which would you prefer to be and why?

a very close call, but pirate gets it from me, just the thoughts of being able to sail away to wherever the wind takes you , and not have all this code of honour crap. thwe only rules you have is respect and trust and looking out for no.1 yarrrrr

Alrighty! Im not gonna put it on the poll (partly because Im not exactly sure how to change the poll
) but Jedi is now officially an option (by request of sethis)This is mostly due to the fact that I like Jedi as much as ninjas.
Cool fighting with a flashy sword that makes those really cool WOOOM WOOOM KSH! sounds and funky force powers. What more could you ask for?

i never heard of a ninja having a big fook off boat with huge fook off cannons plundering gold, drinking rum and stealing govenor's beautiful daughters...
We pirates get swords, pistols, cannons, hooks, knives between the teeth and killer pets like monkeys or parrots.
Plus you get a BLUNDERBUSS, they even have cool names.

hmmm... depends where the fight took place, i reckon on a boat there would be on something of an equal footing, both being able to use swords and run up rigging pretty swiftly, on dry land, ninjas have the advantage. but if a pirate can adapt easily to the loss of a leg for example or an eye and still be able to swashbuckle, it shows they're pretty hardy. And ninja would stick out like a sore thumb on a boat, black hardly being the appropriate colour for camouflage at sea... however returning to my former argument for the pirate ninja monkeys, well obviously they would have the swashbuckling, the stealth and they could hang from trees by their tails. CLEARLY an advantageous piece of evolution...
