hi all
i have been here for bout six months, and finally decided to do an intro.
hi, im pete, petey, pineapple pete and various other things. born 5 / 4 / 89. living in melbourne.
I do alot of poi, bit of staff, bit of doubles, cross staff and fire eating. i want to learn rope dart, flynt got me hooked, and im tryin to self teach 3 section staff.
I like: fire, magic, juggling and all things musical
dislikes: seafood *ick*
ive been doing magic for a bit over a year now. i do alot of sleight of hand card magic, aswell as coins and anything else i can get my hands on.
in my spare time i like to do escapology. I can pick my way out of a pair of US police handcuffs in under 10 seconds, and get out of a straight jacket underwater

yeah man, ill be there. have been keen to go the past few weeks, but it was better for me to stay in, exams and all.. one to go!

so.. hello HoP.. its been a while.. ive still been around.. but more lurking, posting when something takes my eye..
past few months have been quite busy in petey land.. firstly.. uni, has been uni.. funnily enough, as expected.. its been busy, but enjoyable.. philosophy is a nice change of pace, but im really enjoying some of the concepts we're learning in other topics.
recent holiday break was awesome.. began it with mjc. 4 days of awesome, i ran a couple of poi workshops, the sunday night renegade, and generally spent a lot of time hanging out with a bunch of awesome people..
drove to adelaide with simon (point blank) and alex. that was an enjoyable roadtrip.. they always are... spent a week hanging out at brett and lou's place, anyone who's met them knows thats a great way to spend a week..
got to common ground the tuesday before it started. helped set up the chill, decorate etc. had an amazing time at CG, helping out a lot more than ever before. spent an afternoon as responsible person on duty, a shift as fire-safety dude with ben, shift on the gate with rowan, feel i got a lot more out of the festival that way.. performed in the show with brett. that was a lot of fun.. finally.. ran the sunday night renegade there too.. that was great fun..
so, ive rambled a bit, and it seems i couldve started this post with 'dear diary', but its been a while since this thread's been used..

Hey Petey - good to hear you're still alive! You still owe us an NZ trip sometime don't forget - we have better roadtrips over here - we've been on US TV, movies and everything for NZ roadtrips! (Ah "Goodbye Pork Pie" there was a movie - roadtrips and mini's and NZ - what more could you ask for?!).
Oh, and by the way, Philosophy as a uni pursuit is not a change of pace - it's an escape from the real world and no place for a prospective sound engineer!! "Get a haircut and get a real job"!!!
