Hehehe... guess who! I'm also narrow-minded because I can't see how me touching a bit of wood will make it useless for a psychometrist (apparently I am not focussing my emotions because I'm not spiritual enough...)

I suppose the chapter "relationship" is over for good frown Ah well. Can't say I haven't tried.

From past experience of me own, quite often arty types and sciency types clash a bit eventually. And the living together bit is generally when this gets found out.

Of course most of the unattached sciency blokes are unattached for good resons, which makes finding a bearable one rather hard. ubblol

Whats a psychometrist? And what do they have to do with bits of wood? Am I just being dense, or has my brain melted due to the complications of the timetable. Who knows?

Does being anrrow minded help you think in straight lines?

(Just for the record, typing is no better. I need a job which involves less small and breakable things I think. My fingers don't work. Perhaps I should not try to be a lab tech, might be disastrous.)

Definitely agree with you on the unattached sciency blokes. One of my favourite comic strips is about a bunch of engineering kids.

Boy1: But you have to agree, the dating odds in engineering are really in your favour.
Girl: Yeah, the odds are good.
(Boy1 and 2 smile)
Girl: But the goods are odd.
(Boys look a bit disappointed...)

From what I've been told, which is probably not much and I possibly get it wrong, a psychometrist can feel other people's feelings by touching objects they have touched. So if I'd touched the stick he got her to do pagan stuff with, she'd feel my feelings and I'd spoil it for use, while it's okay for just about everyone else to touch it cause they're spiritual, so their emotions are "focused".

I think being narrow-minded means that I don't really understand this and narrow-mindedly refuse to believe in it, but hey wink

Apparently I can't meet the psychometrist to see what she can really feel because the forces she works with are so dark that "for the sake of my sanity" I shouldn't meet her wink And also I would apparently only challenge her beliefs, so she'd be my enemy, and she's too powerful an enemy to have. shrug

With friends like that, who needs enemies I suppose.

Ah well. I guess most "scientific" people would be narrow-minded. Or maybe it's the narrow-mindedness of the more "spiritual" people to not accept the other ways of thinking?

Anyways. While it would be so much fun to sneak up to the stick and touch it and see if she notices, I will refrain. Not for the sake of my sanity, but because I've just turned 27 ubblol

Wow. Shirley Bassey is so amazing! What a voice! And what a diva... (note this will probably be one of the few times that I don't use the word "diva" in a derogatory way...) I'll probably sound horribly politically incorrect now, but if she was a guy she'd be gay ubblol

"Do you like my canary dress?" "Do you like my RED dress? I seem to be wearing so much red! Oooh, I feel like Scarlet O'Hara!"

She's also quite dirty for a woman her age wink

But. BUT. What a voice!!!! biggrin And what a fantastic band, too!!

So what's been happening to me?

Well!

New flatmate organised at least from September, possibly someone between now and then.

Going down to England for work for a month soon which sucks a bit cause it's the festival here, and there I'll be in the middle of nowhere. But I'm thinking of getting a car, at least temporarily, and then I can go places on weekends and in the evenings, possibly spinning, too smile

Went to T in the Park and saw lots of bands, of which (for me) Feeder did the best show, but that may have just been because I never realised how good-looking their singer is. Well. For a Welshman ubblol Possibly going to another festival just outside Edinburgh at the end of september, one of the guys at work told me about that today.

Relationship-wise things are good, there seems to be a kind of ceasefire with the ex. But even better, I've just spent a fantastic weekend in Ireland with an absolutely hot AND nice guy, and am pretty chuffed smile especially cause there may be a sequel to last weekend at some point biggrin But that's planning ahead which is really not asked for right now, so the lady enjoys in silence!

Work's a bit annoying but nothing that can't be worked around. The flat is still in the process of being cleaned through properly (just realised when cleaning for flatmate viewings how many hidden corners there are that I think the people before us hadn't bothered about either, don't get me started on the shower!!!), but again nothing that can't be done.

The sun is shining, and life is good. Is all I have to say.

Somebody's getting a heavy dose of wonderful it seems! Good to hear things are getting on alright miss hug hug

I'm sure you'll find some lousy festival to go to in boring old England ubblol I'll trade your month over there for a month in Australia- how's that sound? ubbangel

When I read flatmate viewings- the next thing I thought I read was hidden cameras ubblol and to see 'shower' just underneath..

Mind is in the gutter obviously!

Sun's not too sunny over here. Think we're having a bit of an overcast weekend. Which is good weather for staying home. Incidentally, that's all I've scheduled for today and tomorrow. Except running off to buy a rug now. Wonder what the chances of coming back with a fluffy one are..

Dose of wonderful indeed!

Oh, England should be alright! I've got one weekend in Southampton lined up, then one at a conference in Germany, one I'll probably go to see a friend in London, and that's the month nearly gone! Am planning to buy a car so transport will be easier!

Hidden cameras in the shower? Not unless I get an extra-cute male flatmate, which my friend has said I'm not allowed to do cause it'll only cause trouble ubbangel I'm not really that bad though, that's just what he likes to think!!

Will go to Oz hopefully after the PhD... my friend's getting married in Melbourne next month and has invited me, but I just can't make it there, especially not for only a weekend wink But if you're ever in the UK or wherever I go next, visit!! smile

well I'm SUPPOSED to be finished next March, so Dr. Birgit would be next spring/summer. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

And hey stop putting yourself down biggrin hug

I'll have a female flatmate though, so there's no point for me to attach cameras anywhere (unless she has extra-cute brothers, friends or a boyfriend, in which case I really shouldn't be putting cameras anywhere). But first

FLAT TO MY OWN FOR ANOTHER MONTH!! yay biggrin
