Hidey,

I have been officially spinning for about two years, but in reality it is more like 6 months. I would like to learn some more moves and get more confident about performing.

I have been reading Suttre by Cormac McCarthy. Right now I feel like it is one of the best books ever written. I probably feel that way because because it is set in Tenessee which is culturally and geographically near to South Carolina, and I am new to the area.

I grew up in Alaska. Last summer I dove from there to here. I am findinging that things are different. Rednecks and preppies sometimes call me Jesus. I am attending graduate school at Clemson University is why I am here. There are a lot of Indian students here. Today they let me play Cricket with them. Someday I would like to to visit India.

Here are some bands I like: Sterolab, Beat Happening, St. Etienne, Apples in Stereo, New Order, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, Cranes, and anything else that is sweetly depressing. One of these days I need to learn how to play guitar and write my own songs.

I have long hair and a beard, but I may cut it all off soon.

Anyway props to all of the people at Home of Poi for setting these forums up and publishing so much information about spinning and making some great videos.

I look forward to making new friends and learning some new moves.

I like long hair and beards, they make me remember when I had hair to grow!! If you cut it off you'll have to keep it and sell it cuz aparently real hair that's long is worth quite a bit of cash to theright people!

I have never heard of him. I will check it out though. I am always on the lookout for something new and fresh. Here is a song I really like. Mercury is Clearly Opposing Venus

Ok I might not cut the hair because of the time investment it took to grow it out, but I am thinking it might be better for doing the poi and hiking not to mention the extra time it takes each morning. But I don't know if I could sell it ... I would feel dirty.

Welcome!

Here's some fresh Tabouleh for your new intro thread. And some fresh pita.

Sorry, I hate eggplant. I'm a hummus guy, myself.

For some reason I feel like a man when I am holding a cricket bat (or whatever it is called). Mostly we use tennis balls here because we are playing around apartments/flats.

Anyway here is a halfway decent picture of me spinning. Some of the fire got cut off unfortunately.

You probably just never had it done right. It is the food of the gods. The rest of it is yummy too.

I am hoping to go to one of those churches where they handle snakes at some point.

Here is a picture of my license plate.

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.
