Hi all,

This seems to be Poi Central on the net so i thought i should introduce myself, (because im sure ill need some help sooner or later.) I'm an Australian (living in Sweden this year,) and a new friend introduced my to the wide world of fire juggling etc. Of course, i want to be good at poi but can only do a few basics at the moment.

look forward to meeting you all biggrin

I'm in Västerås, about a hundred kilometers west of Stockholm. Its on the Lake Malaren, a very pretty place. A couple of weeks ago I went to Åre, a big ski resort up north (Swedes say its up north even though its in the middle) and that was likewise awesome.

ah, geelong brings back memories... like back in '95 when Carlton beat them in the Grand Final... good days... but not so good now. You will have to keep me updated with the AFL. biggrin

When I was a tiny kid I lived in Morwell, Latrobe Valley, and I have relatives in Frankston, so I know Victoria pretty well. Since then I've moved to Qld and have lived in Bundaberg, Townsville and Cairns. My home for the last 3 years has been the Gold Coast. cool I've been in Sweden for 3 and a half months, as an exchange student.

Gonna live in Brisbane when I go back home!

And its daytime here! Going to test my new poi tonite weavesmiley made out of sponge tennis balls so you basically feel nothing when it hits you. I thought it might be too lite but a bit of tape works well to add a bit of weight... anyway. enjoy your evening!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.

well, umm, lets see... pink...

i usually associate pink with strawberry... thats a good thing... strawberry milk is yummy.
but i wouldnt paint my room with it, because it would keep me too alert...

paint with pink, i mean, not strawberry milk... Although that would be interesting.

My Gran used to live in Ararat nr Victoria and my uncle, auntie and a couple of cousins still do. I want to go see them but it's really hard to get into Oz these days for anything longer than a few holiday weeks. I'd like to spend a year or so there and travel as far round the cost as possible biggrin

Hello!

I don't know how to say "Hello" in Swedish, so I'll say it in Australian instead:

"G'day, mate!" biggrin (You are a guy, right?)

Right *sets down a large plate of home-made chocolates and a bottle of Port wine*

Welcome aboard!

gday to you too, mate.
hej (pronounced 'hey') is hello in swedish. Who would have thought?
Yep, im a guy, but its cool if you call aussie girls 'mate' as well.

I am perplexed by these home made chocolates.
Are they really home made?
Are they really chocolate?
do they go well with port wine?

If you've answered yes to all these questions, I would like to get to know you better. biggrin See ya's round

Of course they're really chocolates! And of course they're home-made!

And I made them, so of course they're good. Because I only make food that I would want to eat, and I don't want to eat bad food. It's very logical, you see... biggrin

And Port goes strikingly well with chocolate. I like a tawny Port, but some people like ruby Port better. I brought a bottle of tawny, though.
