Heylo!
I'm not new here! As you can see <--- (Reg Date) but I figure I may aswell try another Intro thread, it's another way to avoid work! biggrin

For Lightnings pleasure:

How old are you? Male or Female? Where are you from? (Basically, A/S/L)
I'm 17, birthday 26th AUG! (We shall be attending Fabric!) Female, from England, near Bedford.

What toys do you play with? How long have you been into this?
I play with lots of toys, Barbies and Sylvanian families especially. Other than that I spin poi (or try to!) and can just about do a full rotation of a staff and dance around it a bit biggrin I have been spinning since July, so I'm a newbie. I met my first HoP'ster's late March and learnt new pretty moves off of Jez and Gnor hug

What do you do when you're not spinning? Are you a student? Do you have a job? Do you have three children, six dogs, four cats, and a husband?
I am a student at the moment, last year of A levels, not going onto Uni next year but I'm not closing the option off! I live with my parents and lil bro and my baby cat (who's actually pretty old) called Charlie. And I work in Sainsbury's off the A1.

What other stuff do you like? Books? Movies? Games? Color?
I like books, love movies.
My favourite colours are sunset/sunrise colours (so everything!)

For Thor's pleasure:
I am taken, not quite happily at the moment... working on it
I don't remember the other thing you asked about Sorry!

Other information you should be aware of:
Don't tickle me: I'll never talk to you again
Don't bring buttons near me, I freak out.
I'm a good map reader, I love the road trips we go on (went to some fields the past two weekends, going to the beach this weekend)
I love my family and friends, so very important to me.
I'm quite clumsy, ran into a door frame the other day, fell down the front of a car last sunday... it's hereditary, this is proven as my brother fell through a glass window wednesday, he has 12 fresh new stitches.

Yup, this sounds like me, or a bit of me.... Hello everybody hug

I think that would be one of my major-iest fears...

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

But David Hasselhof anywhere in my sight scares the bejeesas out of me eek

I don't know if a promise like that is possible! just someone brushing past me tickles sometimes! I promise back except on the last clause of brushing past!

Hello fellow-phobic!
Unfortunately I cannot prove your theory, no-one before me has suffered the button fear. I saw a man on TV the other day, he had a jacket covered in buttons, a car that -otherwise would be lovely- was covered in buttons... eek I had to change the channel

I spoke too soon about the weather, I shut my windows soon after and put another layer on. frown

Hello GLI wave

Why are you scared of buttons? What happens when you buy new jeans? confused

Although I'm not scared of it I have a healthy dislike for Velcro. It's the noise more than anything....

Let's relight this forum ubblove

I'm not really scared of them... they just give me the hebegeebies.... It's the hebegeebies I don't like... they're ok so long as they're small and on clothes, the new fashionable jumpers with big buttons with not much of a purpose give me the hebegeebies too. My mum has the same problem with frills.

I don't run in fear from them... my mum used to have a button box made out of tin with a wierd blue pattern on with some kind of stick print... loose buttons are the worst I think... I have clothes with buttons on... but I can't see them so it's okay. The metal ones on jeans are ok, cause they're a different hybrid of buttons.

Everyone's different! ubbangel

the sun's come out, I'm going to spin, see if it calms me down Stupid friends bailing on you the day before a road trip spank

Edit - It didn't work... time for food and to get the hell out of this house. biggrin

i think so. the guy that drew it called it a singularity, which i think is the same thing.

We get to drive here from the age of 16, but for the first 6 months you have to have someone else in the car with you. do you have learners and probationary drivers there?

I don't know what probationary drivers are, we have learners, who have to have a learners permit, and be insured in someone elses car if they want to drive, and someone over the age of 21 who's been driving for three years to sit next to you. And we have driving teachers too.... mine just quit so I have to find a new one. NO not because of me!!!! It was either his job or his wife and kids.
Nice to meet you MiG - why MiG?

Umm, ok. When you start, you take a theory test, and if you pass that, you have your learners. you can't go over 80km/h (50mph), and you have to have a full licenced driver in the car with you. Blood alcohol level must be zero. You can go for your l's at 16.

After 6 months, and some driving lessons in which you complete a checklist of tasks, you get you probationary licence. You're allowed to drive by yourself, allowed to go up to 100km/h (62.5mph), and are allowed to take as many people in the car as you want. Again, your blood alcohol level must be zero. You're on your p's for 3 years, or until you turn 19.

At 19, you get your full licence. can go 110km/h (68mph) (but most p platers do that on the open road anyway, and the cops turn a blind eye, well, they do in SA), are allowed to have up to .05 blood alcohol concentration, and all that.

Theres a few things like demerit points, and stuff like that, but i cant remember how it works, so i cant tell you smile

And MiG? i really dont know why. i think it came from when i was in a programming club at school (we played massive network games of quake). I came up with MiG, and i was always aqua. and it came from there.

Sorry I'm very peeved at my stupid censored teacher who told me my hypothesis was fine months ago and now when she actually takes the time to read over it. She tells me its wrong! ITS NOT LIKE YOU BASE THE WHOLE EXPERIMENT AROUND IT NOOOOOOOOOO don't be so stupid, that's not how it works at all!
*WHACK PUNCH KICK KAPOW* GEEEEEEESUS!
And I've done the references all wrong because she couldn't take the time out of her busy schedule of cutting classes by an hour to explain the format properly!

I am so peeved I've kicked my family out of the room so I can start working on it just a lil bit but there really is NO POINT because I'm going to fail! I know [censored] all about the course, my experiments totally flawed and I'm entered for the exams in less than two months. WHAT THE HELL. It's going to add to my already increasing stress levels.... Bring on payment and the weekend in Norfolk... Party till the sun goes down on the third evening!

I haven't even had the chance to celebrate or be depressed about breaking up with my ex. RARGH POW POW POW *bangs head against lamp shade*

....... and I'm done.
