Hey Everyone...
Just a few quick words to say hi and to introduce myself a little..
Well, im a 21 year old female who lives in Brisbane Australia but hails from Masterton in New Zealand..
I have been playing sticks for the past 7 months now, my friend Allie taught me and I love her for it. My fav toy is the short staff, although I have recently bought a new stick that has a lot more length on it and its been interesting to use the two... I also use poi and devil stix and can juggle like a demon...not... I work for an insurance company by the day but during my spare time I work in a lot of mystic fairs doing readings with tarot and palms and auras and such...My fav book is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S Thompson...and also a book Im reading at the moment called "Crossing Over" by john Edwards the medium guy off the telly... The highlight of my life to date was running into The Tea Party after their brisbane concert and hanging out with the drummer Jeff Burrows for beers... That was great.. I saw Tool play the other night and I can say without a doubt that the concert was one of the best I had been to in a long time..go if you get the chance...![[Razz]](images/graemlins/tongue.gif)

Valura, I've spent three and a half hours working on my computer and so far I'm keeping my connection. Maybe my good luck will rub off.
Now I need to think about getting something to eat at 9:49pm. If I wasn't so hungry I would say that it's too late to eat.

I would like to take this opportunity to say two things... firstly
My friends are the most talented, amazing, sweet and kind hearted people that I have ever had the homour of knowing. They are so wonderful and it was awsome to have most of thewm at my sons first birthday yesterday... Thank you guys for being my soul group. You all rock my world.
secondly, If I could I would move doc lightning over here so that he can be my sons Doctor, I would do it in a heartbeat. Ever since my lil one was born Doc has been a constant source of support and guidence. Every milestone that Taj has had Doc has taken time to sit and write me a PM about what to expect, common fears to look for as a parent and even helped me through my Post Natal Depression.
I could never have asked for a better knowledge source or friend.Doc your advice is much appreciated and very much taken on board. YOU are the reason that we slept through the night form 6 weeks on, because we used your suggestions to get Taj into his circadian (sp) cycle.
Without a doubt you have a place in our familys heart and when we go to the UK, New York is a stop on our way home, because I want to hug you and thank you in person.
Words cant really express what I want to say, just thank you, so so much.

Tell you what...you remind me when he's 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, etc... I'll give you each "anticipatory guidance" talk as I learn them. Right now, the oldest of my babies who I'm following are just about Taj's age, because I started my residency on 1 July 2005. In about 3 months I'll start giving the "15 month talks" to my patients...so I'll just send them on to you.
Any other parents of babies who need my anticipatory guidance talks, just ask me.
Oh, Valura, one other quick talk I usually give at about 6 months, the "Dangly/hooped earrings" talk. Here it is: They're your ears and you're an adult, so do as you will but here's your warning: kids at about 6-9 months start grabbing things. They don't understand that your dangly earrings are looped through your ears and they may well grab them and yank them...hard enough to rip them clean through your ear. I've seen it happen, I've had to call Plastic Surgery to fix it, and the solution is to wear little studs instead of big, dangly or large hooped earrings.
