I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

just thought I would add a pic of Spitfire's namesake, the classic Supermarine Spitfire, savior of England in its darkest hour fighting the nazis. Take in the very asthetic lines, some of the cleanest to ever grace an airframe. Also note the red and white checkered insignia near the front, honoring the many polish pilots who gave their lives fighting for England.

Warning. This is a rant.

I'm frustrated. Very frustrated.

For the most part, I am not dependent on other people to do my job. There is, though one aspect of what I do in which I am reliant on someone else. The details aren't important, but essentially, I've got to wait on this person to create PIN cards for our new clients taking classes to learn our software products. I give a short "this is us" presentation as I hand out said cards. Now...I can't hand out the cards IF I don't have the cards.

See what's coming, don't you? The person who is supposed to make the pin cards is...slow. The deal is get the cards done and to me by Moinday, a deadline my manager set, not me. The person who makes the cards (requires some data entry, some printing, and some tearing along perforations) often doesn't get started until Monday, even though he usually gets the cards earlier in the week.

He claims he's busy....mind you, the person who USED to do the cards NEVER had that issue, and their job descriptions and responsibilities are the same. She always managed to get the cards to me on time, or if looked like she might be late, she'd let me know AHEAD of time. This guy doesn't bother. I'm trying to be understanding, but yeesh. How many times will I have to ask hiim for the cards? How often am I going to have to be late in doing MY job because of him?

GAH. I guess I carry no weight with him. I really don't want to bring my manager in on this, but....at some point, we reach a line between him doing his job in a timely manner or not. Right now...he's not. I'm not his manager...I just happen to be dependent on him for one little piece of my job. It reflects on me if he doesn't do his job right or well, and my little Capricorn self has a HUGE proplem with that.

*deep breath followed by frustrated scream followed by a deep breath* I'm going to soak in the jacuzzi.

End Rant. Sorry gang. I figured I could abuse my thread. I may edit this thing later, when I feel better.
