Polythene: But Chrome is Shiney! If I said just chrome then that would miss out other fantastic items I have, like my brushed aluminium keyboard ubblove and all my stainless steel kitchen equipment ubblove

Narr: because there is an evil and worrying cult operating in this region. Their manefesto is unknown, but they seem to be obsessed with spreading propoganda about lemony goodness. I felt banning it was more important at the time than ****, ****, **** and ******* girls ****ing ****** *** carpet shop salesmen. Had i known it was associated with cheese making, i would have banned it before i wrote it. How that works i'm not sure, but i would have figured it out.

I also forgot to mention in my original post my obsession with the colour pink

cool, thanks for your recomendations! I'm not sure about stories, but i did read catcher in the rye at school and remember it to be reasonably [censored] up, so maybe i'll read it again. Downsize this is already on my list. I've heard of some of the others, no doubt *someone* will buy me a book token or 2 for chrimbo, so I'll buy a few in the new year and let you know how i get on hug

The keyboard was to replace the black apple pro keyboard i had before. Apple pro keyboards are the nads in keyboard design, honestly i haven't seen a better keyboard before (once you get over how cool lit up ones are and realise they are actually quite tacky), but unfortunately about 30 minutes into writting your first essay on one you realise how much they suck. I really like laptop keyboards, so i bought this one instead. It's pretty minimalist, there's no stupid keys you never use (although i did get used to volume keys on the apple pro), and the brushed aluminium looks really cool. The cursor/home/delete keys are merged into the main keyboard part like a laptop, and space is at a premium on my desk (there's already 3 computers on it). It's feet are conceeled underneath, so it kind of looks like it's floating over the desk. I know you can buy keyboards for under 3 quid, and for the first 6 years of owning PCs i never spent more than about a tenner on each keyboard, but seriously if you have 30 quid to burn then get one (like give up smoking for a week if not tongue)! It's almost half the price of an apple pro, and so much better for writting long posts on.

I'm too cheap for Lian Li, i'd rather spend the money on actual components instead. My current case on my machine is one of these ones. It's a poor imatation of an aluminium case. They are sold as 'aluminium alloy', which means they are steel, with a bit of aluminium melted into them so they can put it in the title. It's obvious that it's painted to look metal, and well, i've had it a year now and the novelty has worn off. The side window's design was pretty cool at first, but i bought some red LED fans and suddenly the combination of a blue cathode and red LEDs projected a glow onto my wall that reminds me of a cheesy winebar's sign. So, now that the machine is a decent spec and my computer budget for the xmas period doesn't need spending on components, i'm seriously considering doing 2 things to it. Firstly buying zalman heatsinks/fans/PSU for it and making it silent. Currently it has 'quiet' and 'noiseless' parts in it, which actually just means 27db (as opposed to 40db in most computers). But 27db is totally audiable, you need to go down to 20db to be silent. This will cost about 100 quid. Secondly i'm considering a Lian-Li PC65 case. It's another 100 and is to be honest a bit extravegant. I'm not sure i can really warrant the cost of it, there are other things which i'd get more enjoyment out of that i should spend any money i have on, but heh. We'll see, maybe i'll treat myself this xmas smile

insisting on a lian-li is a bit much, i generally try to build computers for people for as cheap as possible, then let them choose which things they want to spend more on. Most people prefer a slightly faster cpu or more ram than a flashy case.

The keys are basically the same as a laptop keyboard, so if you like those you'll like this. They arn't as silent as they could be, but they don't rattle and feel firm in all directions but up/down (nothing worse than a keyboard on which the keys wobble when you put your finger on the top). The keys are flush to the aluminium chasis which is nice, i guess the main downside is that you can't adjust the tilt (but i'm used to that now). It also only has a usb connection, but to be honest these days most motherboards don't have a problem with that. I can't suggest it as an essential item, because you can get perfectly working keyboards for a tenth of the price, but if you fancy spending 30 quid on something that will match your case, then go for it.

You missed lemsip too. Hugs appreciated hug, but lemon is still banned. You'll be campaigning for pink things soon tongue
