Hey there everyone,

Well, now that I'm close to post number 300 I thought I'd do an intro thread... it seems like I'll be hanging around for a while now biggrin

Edit:

Yep, this is all changed cos I'm not feeling as sentimental as I was when I wrote the last intro.

I'm 28, live outside Belfast in Northern Ireland, run the fire performance group FirePoise (www.firepoise.com), like to travel and good music.

My myspace page is www.myspace.com/clarepalmer

Take care

bye

Hello there everyone... wave

Thanks so much for all the lovely wishes... Hurrah biggrin bounce

I am now 28, and people keep telling me this is a very important year - so I'm hoping it'll be fun smile (no doubt, with the EJC coming up!!)

Drew... yep they did arrive sweetness, thanks so much for that hug2 - an uber-splendid present biggrin and muchly appreciated...

I had the most surreal birthday...

Lisa and I ended up doing some wiggling with fire fans for a film about Jane Austen's life (called Becoming Jane).

It was much fun... we were running about in very tight corsets and big skirts for a kindof village fair scene. We were circus wenches ubblol

There was a whole lot of madness but we had a great time...

It was filmed here:

Meh...

Things are ok.

Unfortunately, my mother was diagnosed with cancer last week. It's been a terrible shock. It's pancreatic and the outlook isn't good. I'm spending alot of time at home and trying to balance work stuff and ironing!

Am still getting bogged down in admin work instead of practising - which sucks.

But on the flip side, a friend of mine gave me a very beautiful massage yesterday, which really helped.

I hope you are ok and things have settled down in the house...

hug2

See you sometime - EJC perhaps?!

know how your feeling on the ironing front *looks over to mount pain in the ass* why do we insist on putting clothes on children, they only get dirty which will then need to be washed and ironed.

as for the froggy house, things are still going from bad to worse, can not go into detail as ex hubby is still doing the crazy man stalking ex wife thing frown

Hello everyone...

So then, a quick update on my life...

Things aren't looking good with my mum... she had an exploratory operation and they discovered the tumour was too big to remove.

She's in rather good form, however, all things considered.

My dad and I aren't doing so well, but we're working on it.

You would never know she is sick.... apart from the fluid which keeps gathering in her stomach and making her swollen. But apart from that, she seems happy and it's very unnerving how quickly things seem to have gone back to normal.

But it's a false truth... my dad and I know that.

In other news...

Lisa has been making some utterly splendid costumes for a few gigs we have coming up in the next few weeks...

And I'm still working really hard to organise work and workshops, an EJC show and Halloween performance over the summer.

It's hard and stressful and tiring... but things are coming together.

However, our first ever workshops in the Crescent Arts Centre finished last week.

It was great, we had about 20 people coming along for seven weeks and they all got it!!

At the fire gathering after that last workshop we had five people do their first burn bounce

They rocked!!

And... ahem... someone was there with a video camera... so here's a wee clip:

Take care m'lovelies, see lots of you in a couple of weeks for the EJC!!!!!

Clare xx

Not lots of name changes... just some... trying to be all mysterious, but probably just being confusing.

FirePoise to FurryPurple to FurryTrees (named after a walk in the park) to FurrySwings (which is just random nonsense really, but slightly relating to my psyche).

Anyhoo... thank you muchly hug2

Mum is doing as well as can be expected... in fact, I think I might update that thread.

Take care Guy... not sure when I'll see you next, but I will see you someday!

I know, I'm crap about Falmouth frown

I really, really wanted to come... I haven't seen Durbs and Ros and Rob and you and everyone else in about a year... and I feel completely drawn to Falmouth and Bristol.

But, I have to work this weekend (need the money, still).

What's more... I have to make the decision on Bristol today.

I've told everyone that I'm going and I really want to see you all... but Eimhin and the Irish crew are getting together on the same weekend for Eimhin's leaving party - he's moving to Bristol for Circmedia!!

There's going to be lots of people leaving Ireland in the next few months, and I feel like should be at that party... I want to be there and say goodbye.

le sigh.

Decisions, decisions...
