This was last week at an annual belly dance showcase, at which poi has started making appearances.
Sheelah, belly dance master and studio owner, and K'ahi, poi instructor and performer, combined our powers for this piece. Please enjoy, comment, and if you're in the Portland Oregon area, check out the studio site, www.sheelah.net and make sure to see us in November at the next Saqra's Showcase.
Sorry about the shaky camera, it does settle down. It's the price you pay for bootlegging.

You all did a great job! I love when spinners incorporate dance styles into their routines, it adds so much flare. I really liked the cloth between the poi, it adds a great element of flow. Keep up the good work

The green and blue cloth? Those were just half circle veils that we put some beaded trim on the corners for weight, there aren't any cords.
