I'm studying mechanical engineering - only in 2nd year so I'm only starting the mechanical-type subjects now. 1st year was like an intro to engineering in general and from there we chose a major.
People reckon the job field isn't as great for mech as it is for civil or electrical (not denying it) but I quite liked the mechanical stuff from last year so that's what I'm going by for now smile

Looking for work.

There much demand for Mine Eng in the UK? I thought a lot of the traditional mining areas had been worked out by now, but I will admit that being South Africa, I have a slightly skewed view of the mining world....

wave hey slabbs! grin welcome to the nuthouse! crazy

so you're in brisvegas! wooh! grin huzzah!! bounce2 so have you sussed out all the regular haunts yet? tongue2 you should *definitely* come down to south bank on monday nights for juggle jam!! non-fire meet at the piazza (or backup plan is the busker's pitch) from about 7pm every monday! lots of jugglers & spinners! grin

there's also the west end fire fest, but i'm a slacker, so i'm not sure how often that one is on! tongue2 if you're keen, there's also a wednesday fire meet up at mooloolaba beach on the sunshine coast!

do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and good to eat!



if at first you do succeed, try not to look too astonished!
