Nice vids man. Sleepless tech is amazing. Wish i could get even a fraction of that down when i cant sleep

One thing about poi, at least for me, I seem to be able to do it no matter what state I'm in

Oh don't you just love those nights where you're tired as hell, can't sleep but, can't stop spinning? haha.

Anyways great job on the techy goodness. It seems like there is very little room to spin in that room and you seem to be a little cramped. I LOVED the behind the back hybrid thingy. If only I could do that.... Your waist looks as big as my thigh so maybe that is the secret to behind the back stuff - I'll stop eating and spin away whatever calories are left hahaha

A few comments/ suggestions /ideas:
I'd recommend is breaking out of the one plane most of us are stuck in and start thinking geometrically. You'd be amazed at the different patterns one can come up with whilist spinning in two planes(or even switching between many planes for one pattern). And not just Vertical or Horizontal planes either, think 45, 30 degrees, ect ect. Or even keeping your planes at 90 degrees to each other (atomic? do we even still use this term anymore?) but not with just vertical planes but with one horizontal and another vertical. Or even.. Imagine looking at yourself from the audiences' view and envision a giant X in-between the audience and you.. now spin but focus on keeping your planes only along the legs of the x.

Also maybe thing of different arm timings. Instead of having your arms together(same time) or on opposite sides of your body. Have you tried having say... one arm at 3 o'clock and the other at 6'clock? I've been working on trying to keep my arms in this timing(quarter time I believe?) and developing patterns in each plane and/or different planes.

Have you seen this video of G spinning in Bali?


Basically all of the ideas i've been thinking of but can't seem to do yet!

That [Unregistered} guy will surely chime in soon suggesting you shouldn't spin in such bad lighting... or whatever blah blah blah. Not everyone has perfect lighting or even cares about it for a quick sleepless techy spin. So screw him! hahaha

GREAT stuff on there!

I have probably seen EVERY video of G every posted on youtube..and i love everything he does.

ive been watching his plane changing closer in the last few days but just haven't tried learning any of it yet.

I try to keep a mental list of things I like and want to learn but im easily side tracked with all the amazing stuff out there.

Im still pretty new to poi so there is just so much out there for me to see and learn.

I learn SO much stuff that I probably have 80 tricks that I really like that have never made one of my videos because i just kinda space em off...i can still do everything ive ever learned but when the camera comes out I rush to finish videos so I forget to record a few tricks here and there.

so to combat the problem of A.D.D poi vomit videos, im going to start a new series of "tech poi shorts" on my channel...every two or three days im going to post a video of a the few tech tricks that really have me excised at the time.

so keep and eye out..ill probably post the first tech poi short tomorrow morning.

I think that will keep me a bit more organized so ill be able to finaly start on all this plane changing that has everyone so captured.
